With 2020 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best 2021 high school coverage that can be found anywhere. 2021 Spring Team Preview: Napoleon Wildcats

Team Name: Napoleon Wildcats
Head Coach: Jason Holubik
Division: II
2019 Record: 12-16
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2

2021 Team Strengths:

Pitching
Defense
Leadership

Coach Outlook: "Really like this group and for that matter our program right now. We have 4 players who were on the 2019 sectional championship team who have played in many big games and innings. We have a very deep pitching staff along with competition at many positions which we have not had since I have been here. We feel like we can compete with anyone we play."

Top Returning Players:

Zack Rosebrook SS/P- 4 Year letter winner, leadoff guy one of the leaders in our program and in all 3 sports he plays
Jarrett Gerdeman C/P- 4 Year Letter winner, went 4-1 on the mound his sophomore year with a big win over Defiance. Has been our starting catcher since his freshman year. Offensively has the potential to carry our offense
Carter Burken- 1B/DH 3 Year Letter Winner- Was an ALL NLL DH his sophomore year, big stick that we hope will drive in runners for us
Jaden Brubaker- 1 Year Letter winner, our starting CF, can really run it down. Much better offensively so far in scrimmages this year.

Class of 2021 Prospects To Keep Eye On:

Zack Rosebrook (Video from 2018)
Jarrett Gerdeman
Carter Burken
Jaden Brubaker
Caden Miller -1B/P- Has shown the ability last summer to be a big weapon for us at the plate. Also should be a solid option for us on the mound
Lukas Prigge- 2B One of the hardest working players in our program. Will see time at 2B this Spring
Gavin Brubaker-OF- Has made the move to the outfield. Should see time in Left or Right

Class of 2022 Prospects To Keep Eye On:

Tanner Rubinstein- P/C/3B- Mid 80s fastball should throw a lot of big innings this Spring. Swings the bat well and will push Gerdeman for time behind the plate
Seth Muncy C/2B/P- Really improved in all areas. Will push for time behind the plate and at 2B. Could be one of our better hitters this Spring
Angelo Gonzalez 3B/P- Tremendous power and quick hands, very raw but could be a real weapon for us
TJ Moore- OF- Again very raw athlete that has a lot of speed and could really help us on the basepaths this Spring.
Dylan Musshel- OF/P One of the most improved kids in our program, will push for time in the OF and is a left handed arm.

Class of 2023 Prospects To Keep Eye On:

Blake Wolf- P/Utility- Potential to be our Ace for the next few years. Strike thrower, just pounds the zone. Has been one of our better hitters early in the year.
