Ohio Insider: An Opportunity To Be 2-Way Player A Plus For Centeno

Kasey Centeno OF / RHP / Perry, OH / 2019

MASSILLON - A year ago Kasey Centeno was a promising infielder hoping to get colleges to take notice. Now the Massillon Perry junior is a University of Cincinnati commit as both an outfielder and pitcher.

“I gave the outfield a shot and I began getting a lot more (college) attention,” explained Centeno. “I switched in the middle of my sophomore year. It wasn’t too rough. My speed aspect helped a lot, even if I got a bad jump on the ball. The line drives right at me or over my head took some getting used to and so did balls off the wall.”
