Ohio Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #4 DJ Wilson

DJ Wilson#4 DJ Wilson, OF, Canton South, 2015 (Chicago Cubs 4th round draft pick/Vanderbilt recruit)
Scouting Report from early 2015: Wilson is undersized at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, but he’s the kind of player that grows on you. He runs well, getting down the line in about four seconds from the left side. His speed will be a weapon on the bases and he does his part to get on base, using a patient approach with easy bat speed to put the bat on the ball. He also tracks it well in the outfield. His name has some buzz in the top 10 rounds and he reportedly could more signable than the typical Vanderbilt recruit.

MLB Draft: Wilson, the second ranked prospect in Ohio's 2015 class and 37th overall was gaining momentum heading into the MLB Draft in June. That momentum culminated in the speedy outfielder being drafted in the 4th round by the Chicago Cubs.
