Evaluation: 5-foot-11, 170-pound thin, athletic frame with room to fill. Shortstop showed good range and solid actions thanks to good footwork. Has a clean exchange with good arm strength, good short arm action at ¾ slot with a quick release. One of the top velocities at his position at 81 mph. Left-handed hitter starts in a balanced set up, gets foot down early and on time, no hand trigger, showed ability to stay inside the baseball well and use both fields, showed a smooth swing from left side. All parts of his game will only improve as he continues to mature and get stronger. Had an 85 mph exit velocity. Will need to improve running speed, ran a 4.68 to first base during BP.
