PBR Spotlight Game: Columbiana Crestview vs Heartland Christian

YOUNGSTOWN – On a dark and dreary day in Youngstown, Michael McDonough (Crestview Local, 2016) tossed a gem for the Columbiana Crestview Rebels in a win over Heartland Christian, 2-0.

McDonough threw six scoreless innings, limiting Heartland Christian to just two hits while striking out seven to get the win.

The Rebels struck for two runs in the second inning as Tyler Fitzsimmons (Crestview Local, 2017) led off with a single and stole second. His brother Joel Fitzsimmons (Crestview Local, 2018) then singled and stole second, putting runners on second and third bringing Kaden Davis to the plate with two in scoring position.

The junior hit a fly to right, scoring Fitzsimmons. Ohio State commit Michael McDonough then laced a single to center to score Joel Fitzsimmons, putting the Rebels up 2-0.

That was all McDonough needed as the OSU commit picked up the win, going six scoreless innings while striking out seven. Andy Gorby (Crestview Local, 2016) came on in the 7th inning to pick up the save.
