DAYTON, OH -- Two top Division I teams squared off at Centerville high school for a chance to play at the University of Cincinnati.

Mason sent senior 6-foot-8, 225 pound TJ Zeuch (Pittsburgh Commit) to the mound for the district final matchup.  Facing off against Zeuch was sophomore Justin Arnold.

With two good arms on the mound runs were going to come at a premium.

The Mason lineup showed their depth in the bottom of the 2nd.  Six-hole hitter TJ Dunn put up the first run of the game when he blasted a solo homerun giving his team a 1-0 lead.

Milford answered back notching the scoreboard in the 3rd. Leadoff hitter, Andrew Minton reached by error, and moved to second and third on wild pitches.  After another wild pitch by Zeuch, Minton scored tying the game at 1-1.

In the bottom of the 3rd, the Mason lineup took control after getting a second look at Milford pitcher Justin Arnold.  With two outs, Robert Thompson reached by error, and three-hole hitter Drew Johnson singled. After walking the bases loaded, Junior Connor Bryan stroked a clutch two out opposite field single plating two Comet runners.

With the 3-1 lead Zeuch took control of the game, and continued to add to his strike total in the following innings.

In the 7th, Milford hoped for a late inning rally.  Pitcher TJ Zeuch continued his dominance shutting down any hope Milford had of getting back in the game striking out the last two hitters.

Leading hitters for Mason were Bryan Conner: 2-3 2RBI's, and TJ Dunn: 2-3 HR RBI.

Zuech recorded ten strikeouts in his complete game win.  Mason goes onto regionals and will play Clayton Northmont at the University of Cincinnati May 30th at 5pm.
