CARLISLE, OH - On a great day for baseball, 20th ranked Carlisle (4-2, 1-0) took on Northridge (3-3, 1-2) in SWBL action. The Indians came away with a dominate 11-1 victory.

Carlisle got off to an early lead on a two out RBI single by Alec Turner (101st prospect in class of 2014, Sinclair CC recruit ) to drive in Skyler Kelly (253rd prospect in Class of 2014) and put the Indians up 1-0 after one.

In the second inning, the Indians exploded to score five runs and take a 6-0 lead. Carlisle had RBI hits bytarter senior Andrew Goodpaster, Skyler Kelly, Josh Tarter (109th ranked prospect in class of 2014, Sinclair CC recruit) and Levi Boyer (224th ranked prospect in class of 2014).

That was all Tarter needed as the Sinclair CC recruit tossed a complete game. In five innings, Tarter allowed 6 hits, struck out 6, and only walked two.

The Indians kept scoring in the fourth as Andrew Goodpaster led off with a walk and Kelly reached on well executed bunt hit. Tarter then came to the plate and hit a two run double off the wall in right-center field, extending Carlisle lead to 8-1.

Sophomore Sean Watson walked and freshman infielder Adam Goodpaster got his second base hit of the night to set the table for his brother Andrew Goodpaster, who drove in both runners, making the Carlisle lead 10-1. Andrew Goodpaster advanced to second on Kelly’s fielders choice and Tarter drove him in for his fourth RBI of the night.

Tarter lead the way getting the win on the mound as well as going 3-4 with two doubles and four RBI. Other bright spots for Carlisle include Andrew Goodpaster Kelly both collecting three hits a piece while Boyer and Adam Goodpaster added two a piece as well.

While Northridge had a rough night, there were a few bright spots offensively as junior LHP/OF Jordan Dull, junior IF/RHP Tyler Venters and sophomore RHP/OF Jaycob Banks all reached base twice hitting the ball hard.
