With 2022 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2023. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2023 Spring Team Preview: Springfield Catholic Central Fighting Irish

2022 Record: 13-15
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/1

Coach Outlook: "We are slowing building and getting better as a program. We had a nice run at the end of last season making it to the District Championship game, and I hope that success and momentum will carry over to this season. We lose 5 important pieces from last year's team, but we still have some guys with experience and some new guys that I think will be able to come in and contribute. We will have our work cut out for us in the always competitive Ohio Heritage Conference, but I am hopeful that we will be able to compete and continue to improve as a program."

  • Ben Bramel, RHP/IF, 2025, 6'0"/165, R/R. Last Years Stats - .231 AVG, 13 RBI. 2-1, 1 SAVE, 5.1 ERA, 18 K.
