Willeman possesses a good pitcher’s frame at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, as well as one of the best breaking balls in the state. It has late 12-to-6 action and sits 76-78 mph. The ball jumps out of his hand and he figures to add more to his 86-88 fastball down the road thanks to a quick arm. After his showing at Ohio’s Top Prospect Games last summer, Willeman became one of the state’s hottest recruits and was a frequent note in The Buzz as he made several campus visits before settling on Kent State a little before the early signing period opened.
