Team Ohio Future Games Spotlight: Brandon DeHass, C

By Dylan Hefflinger
Ohio Editor in Chief/NW Scout

On July 30th through August 1st, PBR Ohio will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2017 and 2018 to represent Ohio at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis at Grand Park.

Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, 100+ colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the country. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Summer Team(s): 16u Ohio Elite - Ratcliff

Past Showcase/In-Game Performances:

Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 212-pound strong, athletic build. From behind the dish he really showed as on of the top catching prospects in the 2017 class. Showed good footwork and quick exchange. He throws from a short, high-¾ slot with showcase best pop times of 1.89-1.97 and 83 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that shows good bat speed, strength in his swing and power. Also, ran a showcase best 4.0 home to first. His ability to hit for power with speed should make him a high recruit in the 2017 class.
