With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Unioto Shermans

Division: II
2018 Record: 23-6
Conference Record: SVC, 13-1 (1st)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2/2

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Defense

Coach Outlook: "We should be in the top 4 in the league"

PBR Outlook: 23 wins and 13-1 in the SVC in 2018 will be hard to match in 2019, but coach Tony Taylor and the Shermans are looking to do just that. The DeBord brothers are still young, but talented and ready to take next step in sophomore season.
