Updated Class of 2024 Player Rankings (May)

As spring baseball continues and we get closer to summer ball, we had the opportunity to see hundreds of prospects throughout the fall/spring and have updated our class rankings.

Many names came off the board to some of the top programs around the nation, many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene, and many prospects improved their game.

That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

Below we will take a look at "The Risers”, “The Newcomers", "Intriguing Uncommitted Traits", and some of the top uncommitted prospects by position.

The Risers

Kellan Klosterman RHP / Moeller, OH / 2024

Report: Notre Dame commit,  Kellan Klosterman (Moeller) continues his rapid ascension up the ranks in this class. After a standout showing at the Future Games, the righty has continued to improve the arsenal on the mound. The Fastball now will regularly climb in the 90s with some of the better secondary stuff in the state. Klosterman will make his way up to No. 3 overall in this update.

Jackson Boles OF / LHP / Glenoak, OH / 2024

Report: One of our picks to click in 2023 is Jackson Boles, OF, GlenOak - Boles guy we think has a chance to take off during the spring / post Top Prospect Games. L/L w/athleticism and tons of juice in both the arm and the bat. A guy who can impact the game in several ways - sub 7.0 runner with an upper 80s arm, feel for the game, and has 100+ mph abilities w/the ability to leave the yard in game.

Garrett Roach 3B / RHP / Jonathan Alder, OH / 2024

Report: Garrett Roach (Alder) is one of the more explosive two-way talents in the state. Had a monster summer for Launch last summer and at their scout day he didn’t show any signs of slowing down. Physical athlete who has near 80 mph bat speed in the box that helps lead to exits over 100mph. He can also hop on the bump and give you 90 + mph fastball at 2600+rpms.

The Newcomers

Isaac McGill RHP / 3B / New Lexington, OH / 2024

Report: Another arm who entered the top 100 after a huge performance at the Midwest Marlins Scout Day was Isaac McGill, RHP out of New Lexington. Potential plug and play arm with a mid 80s cutter + hammer slider that both play well off his four seam that can get into the upper 80s. Nasty stuff.

Dylan Kaiser RHP / Lasalle, OH / 2024

Report: Uncommitted Dylan Kaiser (LaSalle)  turned in one of the top bullpens we saw of the scout day season. 6-foot, athletic frame, long/loose arm w/quality armspeed that allows for easy velo. Sat in the 86-88 range while running it up to 89 mph. Secondary was more than playable. A guy we are excited to see in the spring.

Isaac Ramos C / OF / Elyria, OH / 2024

Few position profiles in sports are coveted by scouts as much as LHH catchers and Isaac Ramos (Elyria) has a chance to be a very good one. Absolute cannon behind the dish that was consistently put darts on the bag up to 83 mph from the crouch at NMC’s Scout Day. Also showed run producer traits in the box and his athleticism by running in the 6.9s.

Intriguing Uncommitted Tools

This class is loaded with uncommitted talent. We will have several uncommitted articles to come, here’s a few of the top traits left on the board.

Bryce Brannon RHP / 3B / Mason, OH / 2024

Stuff: Bryce Brannon, RHP, Mason - 6-foot-3, fast arm with electric stuff. Recently caught him up to 91 mph w/a nasty cutter in the mid 80s and a power slider that generates present swing and miss.

Taylor Echols RHP / SS / Wapakoneta, OH / 2024

Pitchability: Taylor Echols, RHP, Wapakoneta - Dude flat out dices every time we see him. Fresh off a no-no against one of the state’s top teams where he showed his recent velo jump translates to game.

Sam Pece LHP / OF / Walsh Jesuit, OH / 2024

Mound Upside: Sam Pece, LHP, Walsh - Pece has been awesome this winter and early into the spring. Checks all the physical boxes college coaches are looking for: As athletic of a mover as you’ll find, quality athlete, arm’s electric. Heater has been in the upper 80s and secondary sharpened up as well. Also has shown the best command we have seen from him. Huge ceiling.

AJ McAninch RHP / SS / Bishop Watterson, OH / 2024

Spin: AJ McAninch, RHP, Watterson - Several guys in this class can really spin it, few like McAninch. We recently saw it in game action where he was dominant, consistently dropping in the breaker that generated swimg/miss - poor contact all game. In the mid to upper 70s w/near 2900rpms and he has shown quality feel for it.

Parker Corbin SS / C / Cincinnati Country Day, OH / 2024

Hit: Parker Corbin, UTL, CCD - Absolutely rakes / we believe the hit tool carries to any level of college baseball. Has been working on his craft behind the dish as well which will improve overall stock. One of the highest floors in the class.

Cody Martin OF / RHP / Reynoldsburg, OH / 2024

Positional Upside: Cody Martin, OF, Reynoldsburg - Already has high-end tools while still having endless projection left on his 6-foot-4 frame. Premier batspeed, upper 90s exits, 92 mph arm from the OF, and looks fluid while generating such high output. We need to see more in game but few players offer physical traits that can match here.

Brady Schnierer OF / Olentangy Liberty, OH / 2024

Run: Brady Schnierer, OF, Liberty - Some of the loudest tools in the state, led by the blazing 6.5 speed. We recently caught it in game action and to say it translates to live is an understatement / dude floats on both slides of the ball. Also was 100+off the bat at the procase with wood and a near plus arm.

Anthony Sulek SS / Mason, OH / 2024

Glove: Anthony Sulek, SS, Mason - Another guy who can impact the game in multiple ways but the skill set starts with the hands. Makes it look effortless out there and with his 6.6 speed + lateral mobility combo who covers a ton out there. Premier defender.
