We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ohio’s Western Ohio Winter Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2015, '16, '17 and '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Alex Brinkman, RHP, Anna, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 195-pound solid, projectable frame. On the mound the righty has an up-tempo delivery with some effort in his delivery. Throw from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 84-87 mph with some down angle to it. He uses a 11/5 breaking ball that at times has good break and some depth, but need to find his release point on it. Showcased a changeup at 70-74 mph with good arm speed and some sink to it.

Brandon Cooper, C, Tuslaw, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound strong, athletic build. From behind the plate he really does a nice job on his exchange throwing from a short, high-¾ slot. Pop times ranged from a 2.20-2.33 with 69 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly closed with some strength in his swing. The barrel gets in and out of the zone with top exit velocity of 69 mph and ran a 4.53 home to first.

Bruce Kudela, 1B/3B, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (MI), 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 200-pound solid frame. From first base he moves decent around the bag. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 63 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Has strength in his swing and barrel gets in and out zone with top exit velocity of 75 mph and ran 4.97 down the line.

Caleb Homan, RHP/OF, Strongsville, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 178-pound solid, athletic build. From the outfield he uses a good crow hop that gains ground. Throws from a high-¾ slot with good arm action and 87 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Has an easy swing that the barrel stays in the zone. Registered 90 mph exit velocity and was 5.00 home to first. On the mound has a simple lift and is on line at foot strike. Throws from a high-¾ slot. Fastball sitting 79-82 mph with some arm-side run. Used a slider that is more of a slurve at 68-70 mph with some late action. Showcased a changeup at 70-73 mph with occasional fade.

Camden Clark, 2B/RHP, Bath, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 180-pound projectable frame. From the infield he shows good range. Fields the ball into his body with a clean exchange. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly closed and strides even more closed. Quick hands and an uphill swing with 81 mph exit velocity and ran a 4.81 home to first. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo, herky, jerky delivery that speeds up at the end with a good finish. His fastball sits 78-81 mph with a breaking ball at 60-61 mph with a 11/5 break. He slows down a bit on his changeup at 64-66 mph.

Christopher Byers, RHP/1B, Wadsworth, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 240-pound strong build. On the mound the righty has an easy arm action and uses his strong lower-½. Throws from a ¾ slot with fastball sitting 80-82 with some arm-side run. Showed two different kind of breaking balls. Throws a curveball with 11/5 break and depth to it. His slider is harder with tight spin and late break at 72-74 mph. Also, showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 70-72 mph.

Collin Winters, SS/OF, Medina, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic build. From the outfield he tends to field the ball in front of him on his run through ball. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with 86 mph arm strength. In the infield he projects as a SS/3B type with a good exchange, but field the ball into his body. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 81 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stands tall and slightly open. Barrel gets in and out of the zone with good bat speed and 82 mph exit velocity and ran a 4.47 home to first.

Connor Burton, 3B/SS, Bellefontaine, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 185-pound average build. From the infield he fields the ball into his body and uses a quick exchange to get rid of the baseball. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 75 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts spread out for balance. He keeps his weight back and uses a short, compact swing. Registered 84 mph exit velocity and ran a 4.87 home to first.

Eric Callahan, SS/2B, Bexley, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 160-pound projectable frame. From the infield he shows good footwork getting to the baseball and fields the ball out in front of his body. Has soft hands and throws from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly open and high hands. Has a flat bat path that stays in the zone and utilizes the right side. Registered a top exit velocity of 79 mph and ran a 4.60 down the line.

Jack Schaller, SS/RHP, Bowling Green, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 185-pound projectable frame. From the infield he shows good range and a clean exchange. Throws from a high-¾ slot with good arm action and 81 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Swing path is good as he stays in the zone with good bat speed. Shows some power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 88 mph and ran a 4.65 home to first. On the mound the righty use a quick, compact delivery and throws from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 82-84 mph. Breaking ball has a slow 11/5 break at 65-67 mph. Uses a split-finger for his changeup at 69-70 mph with good action and sink.

Jacob Jimenez, C/OF, Defiance, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 169-pound athletic build. From behind the plate he showed really good footwork, getting his feet in line with his throw. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with pop times ranging between 2.15-2.19 and 76 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a balance set up. Uses a simple compact swing with quick hands and a top exit velocity of 84 mph. Ball jumped off the bat well. Also ran a 4.93 home to first.

Jacob Sevitz, 2B/SS, Shawnee, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 145-pound average build. From the infield he projects as a second base type. Shows good range and fields the ball into his body. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 68 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly closed. Has a short, compact swing with some strength to it and gets in and out of the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran 4.53 home to first.

Jordan Tovarnak, RHP/3B, Shawnee, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 240-pound build. From the infield he projects as a corner guy. Fields the ball into his body and shows decent range for his size. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 73 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts even and finishes closed. Has good rhythm in his swing and able to use the right side. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph and 5.06 down the line. On the mound the righty uses a slow tempo delivery and speed up at the end with good direction at foot strike. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 70-74 mph. His breaking ball has 11/5 break at 58-64 mph and showed good arm speed on his changeup at 67-69 mph with some fade.

Kody King, RHP/1B, Fairview, 2016

Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 220-pound big body, strong build. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that speeds up at the end. Throws from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 80-83 mph. He breaking ball is hard with 11/5 late break at 71-72 mph. Showcased a changeup at 75-77 mph with good arm speed and sink.

Joshua Mohr, LHP/1B, Clay, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 240-pound big body build. On the mound the southpaw has a tendency to lean back on his lift and lands slightly open at foot strike. Throws from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 76-79 mph. Showed two different breaking balls. His curveball with a big 1/7 break at 62-63 mph. His slider is more of a swing and miss pitch with tighter spin and late break at 68-70 mph. Also, showed a changeup at 62-64 mph with good arm speed.

Landon Bloir, LHP/1B, Edon, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 200-pound build. On the mound he southpaw uses a slow tempo delivery with high lift and opens up at foot strike. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 80-82 mph. Has a tendency to get on the side of his breaking ball at 66-67 mph with 1/7 break. Showcased a solid changeup at 75-77 mph with good arm speed and sink.

Owen Leugers, 1B/RHP, New Bremen, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 190-pound solid build. From first base he shows good footwork around the bag and soft hands. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 69 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stays closed with high hands. Quiet approach with his barrel getting in and out of the hitting zone with top exit velocity of 80 mph and runs 5.06 down the line. On the mound the righty opens up and falls off on his delivery. From over top his fastball sit at 72-74 mph with good down angle. His 12/6 breaking ball has decent depth at 60-63 mph and showed a changeup at 70-71 mph with good sink.

Roger Helton III, 2B/RHP, Williamsburg, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 135-pound average build. From the infield he shows decent range, fields the ball in front of his body, and has decent hands. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stand tall with high hands. He tends to stride out too far with a simple swing and exit velocity of 74 mph. Also ran a 4.59 down the line. On the mound he has a quick tempo delivery. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 74-75 mph with some arm-side run. Breaking ball has tumbling action at 62-64 mph and showcased a solid changeup at 69-70 mph with good arm speed and fade.

Ryan Riggs, C/3B, Tiffin Columbian, 2016
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 175-pound average build. From behind the plate he gets his feet in line on the transfer creating good direction. Throws from a high-¾ slot with pop times of 2.20-2.50 with 66 mph arm strength home to second. In the infield he projects as a third baseman. Has a quick exchange, with limited range and 67 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly closed with high hands. Has a flat swing that stays in the hitting zone. Registered top exit velocity of 63 mph and ran a 5.44 home to first.

Seth Halladay, RHP, Bellevue, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 185-pound athletic build. The righty does a good job keeping weight over his back leg and lands a little closed at foot strike. Throws from a long, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 77-79 mph. He tends to wrap on his breaking ball with 11/5 break at 60-62 mph. Uses a split-finger as his changeup with good arm speed at 70 mph with life and some sink.

Tyler Gault, 3B/RHP, Rittman, 2016
Scouting Report: 6-foot-4, 180-pound projectable frame. From the infield he projects as a third baseman. He shows limited range throwing from a ¾ slot with 75 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Starts the bat on his shoulder with a flat path and shows juice to oppo side. Registered top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 5.18 down the line. On the mound he is very mechanical with a high leg kick. Throws from a long, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 78-80 mph. Uses a slider with hard, tight spin at 71-73 mph and showed a hard changeup at 72-74 mph.

Top Headlines for the Buckeye State
