2021 OK Future Games Preview

PBR Oklahoma is proud to introduce the 2021 Futures Games roster that includes 15 of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2023 and 2024 class from across the state.  This years team will feature the most two-way prospects the state has ever sent to the Futures Games.  The roster features players from some of the biggest 6A programs in the state all the way down to class B.  See the team below and click on their player profile for more information.

Owen Coil 2B / 3B / Stillwater, OK / 2024

Owen Coil used his big Spring on Varsity and hot summer to land a spot on the Oklahoma Future Games roster.  Owen is a 6.7 runner with really good hand strength and surprising pop from a smaller frame from the left side plate.  Also has shown an knack for barreling some of the top arms in the area with very competitive at bats.

 

Braylon Brooks SS / RHP / Tuttle, OK / 2024

Braylon Brooks comes to the Future Games as one of the top two way talents in the 2024 class from Oklahoma.  He has great range in the middle of the diamond with very good arm strength for the class and has shown the ability to hit for some gap power.  On the mound he's shown raw arm strength with the fastball working in the 87-89 range and has a big breaking ball that he can land for strikes.

 

 

 

 

Tallen Bagwell RHP / OF / Roff, OK / 2023

Tallen Bagwell works from his long and lean frame at 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds that has a ton of projection with an already clean delivery.  The fastball will generally work in the 84-87 range  and was up to 89 mph in the fall with good tilt to go along with a low 70's curveball with tight spin and depth.  Tallen has been one of the better strike throwers in the state to go along with being one of the most projectable arms left uncommitted.

 

 

 

Ashton Bennight OF / LHP / Tuttle, OK / 2023

Ashton Bennight comes to the future games as one the more talented left handed bats in the state.  He uses his long-levered swing to hit with power especially to the pull side with good bat speed and quick hands.  A solid defender with an above average arm in the outfield with a very projectable frame at 6-foot-3 and 175-pounds.

 

 

 

Brody Briggs C / Tulsa Union, OK / 2023

Brody Briggs comes to the future games as one of the top catch and throw guys in the Midwest.  He has routinely thrown up pop times in the mid 1.8's to low 1.9's with good carry and accuracy.  He is also one of the more impressive block and receivers as well.  Brody uses his level bath path from the left side to accommodate his line drive approach.

 

 

Alex Conover C / 3B / Tuttle, OK / 2023

Alex Conover joins the Future Games roster as an interesting two-way talent with some of the better tools in the state in the 2023 class.  The arm plays up both in the infield and behind the plate higher than current numbers and has shown some real strength with above average bat speed from the left side of the plate.  The arm strength also translates to the mound with the fastball working up to 88 mph recently.

 

 

 

 

Colin Fisher LHP / 1B / Noble, OK / 2023

Colin Fisher joins the Oklahoma Future Teams roster as the top left handed pitcher in the 2023 class in the state with a projectable 6-foot-3 and 195-pound frame.  He works with a fastball that sits in the 86-88 range and has one of the better curveballs in the area with swing and miss action.  He also has some power in the bat from the left side of the plate with good bat speed and leverage.

 

 

 

 

Owen Hall RHP / 3B / Edmond North, OK / 2024

Owen Hall comes to the Future Games as one the fastest risers in the 2024 class.  He works a fastball in the 86-88 range and has flashed an 89 with high spin metrics.  He also posses a true curveball with 11/5 shape and a straight change with good hand speed.  Owen has a projectable 6-foot-2 and 160-pound frame that can easily add more strength and size in the future.

 

 

 

Devin Mitchell OF / 1B / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2023

The 6-foot-1, 183-pound right-handed hitter has been hot to end the summer racking up the extra base hits. Mitchell is comfortable at 1B with excellent feet around the bag and enough arm to play in right.  

 

 

 

Cooper Moore RHP / C / Bixby, OK / 2023

Cooper Moore brings his multi-faceted game to the Oklahoma Future Games roster.  Behind the plate he has elite catch and throw abilities with some of the best arm strength in the country.  He has a short swing with a line drive approach and has shown the ability to pick up hits against some of the better arms in the area.  He also can hop on the mound and sit 86-88 and touch 90 mph to compliment his firm slider and bigger curveball.

 

 

 

 

Maxwell Knight LHP / OF / Bixby , OK / 2023

Max Knight is an interesting two-way prospect joining the Oklahoma Futures Games roster.  At 6-foot-3 and 175-pounds Knight has shown power to all fields with very good leverage and extension from the left side of the plate.  He shows a smooth stroke with good rhythm and balance.  On the mound he has been up to 86 mph with good hand speed and shown the ability to get swings and misses with his low 70's true curveball.

 

 

 

 

Avery Ortiz SS / RHP / Union, OK / 2023

Avery Ortiz has jumped onto the scene in a big way the last couple of months to secure his spot on the Future Games roster.  Avery has elite bat speed and has shown the ability to consistently barrel balls with high exit velocities.  He has shown high levels in all 5 tools with running a 60 at 6.7 and has clean defensive actions with a 90 mph arm across the diamond.  He will also jump on the mound and carry the arm strength with a fastball that will be 88-90 mph.  

 

 

 

 

Weston Rouse LHP / 1B / Fort Gibson , OK / 2023

Weston Rouse joins the Oklahoma Futures Games roster as one of the more projectable left handed arms in the state.  Weston has a large frame at 6-foot-6 and 215-pounds with a fastball that has been making jumps this summer into the upper 80's.  He works a serviceable curveball in the lower 70's and has been a consistent strike thrower every time out on mound. 

 

 

 

Anthony Smith RHP / 3B / Stillwater, OK / 2023

Anthony Smith joins the Future Games roster as one of the more toolsy players in the 2023 class.  He has shown real power with the bat this summer with good overall bat speed and really good strength in the hands.  He will jump on the mound with a fastball that has been up into the upper 80's and has more in the tank in the future.

 

 

 

 

Taber Stokes SS / 2B / Mustang , OK / 2023

Tabor Stokes joins the Future Games roster for Oklahoma as one of the better defenders at short stop in the state.  Taber has smooth actions that should translate to him staying on the left side of the infield in the future.  He has shown sneaky pop with the bat and is still developing barrel control skills.  Projectable frame and body with room for more strength in the future.
