2025 OSSAA Team Preview: Claremore Zebras

Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 24 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2025 preseason coverage continues today.

Coach’s Insight: “Going into this spring we are in a much better place from an experience standpoint. Bringing back most of our position players puts in a good spot defensively. We have a good core of hard workers that are hungry to win. In addition to our core group of returners, we added a few transfers that make immediate impact and make us better on and off the field. Going to be an exciting spring for sure. Having a team full of two way guys can be a "good" problem to have but there will be some tough decisions to make. We will have good depth and it will be fun to watch our guys compete every day. ” – Jonathan Gelnar , head coach
