2025 OSSAA Team Preview: Collinsville Cardinals
January 30, 2025
The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 24 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.
Our 2025 preseason coverage continues today.

- JJ was our Monday guy last year. Threw in every big game for us going 8-1 last year and was on the bump in the State Semi's against Carl Albert. He is the leader of our pitching staff. This year his role will expand as he will get time as a 3B/DH and hit in the middle of the order for us offensively.

Coach’s Insight: “Leadership will be our biggest Strength this year. I think we have a great group of Seniors led by Bentley Brown, Parker Collins and Preston Willis. The way that these guys have bonded and competed throughout the fall should show up on the field for us this Spring. Our teams experience together will be something that we have to continue to build on. We [also] have a lot of new guys in new positions this year. We are excited about this group and look forward to seeing how they handle adversity together as a team. ” – Tony Reeder, head coach
