February 12, 2025
The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 24 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.
Our 2025 preseason coverage continues today.

Coach’s Insight: “Our strengths are experience, speed, and pitching. Most of our guys have competed in regionals, area, and the state tournament. They know what it takes to get there. When we get people on base we will be able to put pressure on defenses with our team speed. This season will probably be the deepest we have been on the mound. We will have a lot of arms that give us a chance to go compete. One of our weaknesses will be power at the plate. We do not have a lot of guys with the pop to hit a lot of home runs. We have guys that are built to hit gaps and run.” – Jay McClure, head coach
