2025 OSSAA Team Preview: Kingfisher Yellowjackets

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 24 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight: “Youth is a major strength of the team, as we will be starting 7-8 underclassmen with some great potential. We will be a little thin at pitching depth, but the arms we have are solid. I expect us to be able to play pretty good defense this year as well. While the potential we have in our younger guys, inexperience could cause some growing pains as the season goes on. We will also need to get the most out of our best arms, and avoiding injuries will be critical.” – Stan Blundell, head coach
