Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 24 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2025 preseason coverage continues today.

Top Newcomers:

  • RF Blaine Hollingshead (2028) - 6'1", 165 lbs, R/L,
    • Blaine is a tremendous athlete that may be our best hitter as a Freshmen this year. He still has a lot to prove but he has worked hard all off-season and pre-season and we are excited to see what he can do!

Key Players Lost:

Coach’s Insight: “Our team strengths should be our pitching and experience. We are returning 10 pitchers who logged a total of 157 innings pitched last year. When it comes to experience, last year was our first year in 6A and we started a lot of sophomores. Seeing the 6A level and having in game experience will hopefully help us through tough times this season. Really our weakness is losing a hitter like Weston Thomas. It is hard to replace the COAC Conference Player of the Year. We will need to try to make up for the missing offense collectively vs individually. ” – Adam Skokowski, head coach
