Coach Delay's Spartans enters the postseason as our Number 1 ranked team in the State thanks to a deep roster as well as a very impressive 14 Power 25 wins.  They came right out of the gates firing on all cylinders winning their first 15 games of the season and really haven't looked back.  The scary part of the roster is their ability to beat you 1-9 in the lineup with multiple guys having enough power to leave the yard at anytime.  Max Knight and Jack Williams both have some of the most raw power in the State and have shown the ability to leave the yard multiple times in the same game.  Cooper Moore has been collecting hits in bunches all Spring and is starting to show more physicality in the bat.  Owen Bailor, Nate Murphy, and Connor Kirby all possess the abilities with the bat down the order to drive in runs.  On the mound they have a multitude of options starting with Cooper Moore who has been on an absolute tear on the mound as of late.  Max Knight has the ability to take over games on the mound when he is throwing strikes and Cole Abbott has been working his way back into shape for the postseason giving the Spartans another proven starter on the mound.  With all the firepower and experience on the roster, look for the Spartans to be a prime contender to taking home the hardware later this month.

Coach Dobson's Tigers squad enters the postseason with a lot of underclassmen that have had a good amount of Varsity experience under their belt.  They have a true ace in Landon Flusche who when on is talented enough to beat anyone in the State.  Kaemyn Franklin is an exciting young arm that they can turn to as well as a steady Luke Cummings who comes right after hitters pounding the zone.  What really makes the Tigers go is their productive offensive players at the top and middle of the order.  Recently Cooper Bates has moved up into the leadoff spot and has started to really take off in that role.  Kade Matthews is an exciting player that has shown the ability to leave the yard against good pitching as well as let his speed change games.  The mainstay in the lineup is the steady offensive production from Jaxon Gregory who has a real knack for hitting with runners in scoring position spraying line drives from line to line.  Grayson Childers has also gotten hot as of late swinging with more physicality in the recent weeks.  The keys for Broken Arrow this postseason will fall on Flusche taking over a game and getting some of the other arms to step up and give the bats a chance and if they can do that it wouldn't be shocking to see the Tigers go on a run.

 

BARTLESVILLE BRUINS

Coach Cody Price's Bruins come into the regionals playing some of their best baseball of the season with a balanced roster on both sides of the ball.  They have shown the ability to take down some of the best teams in the State with wins against regional foe Bixby just a few weeks ago as well as holding an explosive Stillwater offense to one run.  On the mound they are led by Brendan Asher who is just starting to scratch the surface of his abilities with a low to mid 80's sinker and a feel for pitching.  Backing him up is a sneaky good offense led by the switch-hitting Zeb Henry at the top of the order and some of the more physical bats behind him such as Bradee Rigdon, Harrison Clark, and Eric Olenberger.  One thing that is guaranteed when you play the Bruins is they are going to compete well pitch to pitch and aren't afraid of anyone in the opposing dugout.
