PBR OK strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

This fall, PBR OK will continue highlighting some of the top ranked and uncommitted players in the 2019 class as they prepare to enter their senior seasons. Today, we take a look at strong and durable catcher who helped lead his team to  a Fall Class B State Tournament.

Scouting Report

5/31/17
A 5-foot-8, 160-pound proportional frame with some strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an upright relaxed set-up with rhythm throughout. Uses a short, reverse toe-tap load, short to the ball, flat bat path. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, mostly flat, mostly barrels, 76 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.53 60. Defensively, active and high energy behind the dish with a consistent rocking side to side, shows steady strong hands receiving, both in drill work and in the game. Shows a consistently clean transfer and footwork out of the shoot. Throws with a short action coming through a 3/4 slot, some accuracy, 73 mph, 1.88-1.97 showcase pop times. In the game, grounded out to the shortstop twice.

6/6/18
A 5-foot-8, 160-pound durable frame with some strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a balanced, even, and athletic set-up with his barrel tipped towards the pitcher and rhythm throughout. Uses a slight hand pump load with a short reverse toe-tap stride before launching his hands on a flat path to contact with a high finish and big extension. In BP, shows a flat and pull approach with occasional lift, almost all barrels, and more pop than his 83 mph exit velo would suggest. Runs a 7.53 second 60. Defensively, is a well above average receiver, catching from a narrow base with a lot of hip sway and strong hands. Throws with a short arm stroke through a high-¾ slot 75 mph to second base with accuracy and showcase pop times of 1.88-1.97. In the game, went 1-for-3 with a hard hit ground ball up the middle and solid contact to right.
