Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma hosted the second Jr. Future Games Trials on Saturday. The event showcased nearly 25 players from the 2022 and 2023 grad classes. Each position player went through a pro-style workout, while pitchers threw pens.

Hayden Billingsley C / 3B / Broken Arrow , OK / 2022

A 5-foot-11, 170-pound advanced and projectable frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a back leg heavy and even set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a reverse toe-tap stride before dropping his hands and pulling them through a flat path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows a flat and middle of the field approach, mostly barrels, 74 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.72 second 60. Defensively, shows advanced receiving skills, and shows lots of flexibility in his hips. Throws with a short arm stroke through an over the top slot, some stiffness, 60 mph to second base and showcase pop times of 2.57-2.64. Also athletic enough to play on the infield as well. 


Reese Daigle OF / LHP / Owasso, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-5, 118-pound developing frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a wide, balanced, and even set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses smooth and big reverse toe-tap load before sending his hands on a flat path through extension, hitting from his front foot. In BP, shows gap-to-gap approach with mostly barrels, 75 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.45 second 60. Defensively, in the outfield, shows quick, athletic, and confident actions, tracking and charging the ball well. Throws with a long arm stroke coming through a ¾ slot, 70 mph from the outfield with some accuracy. Also athletic enough to play first base as well. On the mound, the left-hander works from a controlled delivery, coming to a slight pause at the top of a moderate leg kick. Arm action has some length in the back before coming through a ¾ slot with some stiffness. Fastball sits 64-65 mph with consistent arm-side run. Knuckle ball has some dance at 57-60 mph. 


Gage Dollins SS / 2B / Mcalester, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-9, 125-pound developing frame. Offensively, the switch hitter bats from similar setups from both sides with a wide and open base, slightly front foot heavy, and some rhythm in his hands. Uses moderate knee-knock leg kick and a hand pump load before launching his hands with quickness on a flat path through extension. In BP, shows a middle to pull and flat approach from both sides flashing some pop, some barrels from the left and slightly more from the right, 75 mph exit velo. An advanced runner for his age, runs a 7.26 second 60. Defensively, on the infield, shows advanced hands and feet, taking good angles and making clean plays. Throws with a moderate arm stroke coming through a low-¾ slot with a quick release and accuracy, 60 mph across the infield. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and a high leg kick that he repeats well. Arm action has moderate length in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a ¾ slot. Fastball sits 63-64 mph with occasional slight arm side run, mostly strikes. Splitter has excellent tumbling action at 58-59 mph and will likely be a plus pitch in the future. Curveball is still developing, some 11/5 shape at 55-56 mph. 


Andersen Dotolo OF / RHP / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-10, 150-pound developing frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an upright, relaxed, and balanced set-up with some rhythm in his body. Uses a rocking load with a moderate and soft strike before launching his hands on a flat path with some length through extension. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field approach with some pop and mostly barrels, 76 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.22 second 60. Defensively, in the outfield, shows clean and controlled actions. Throws with a moderate and fluid arm stroke coming through a ¾ slot, 79 mph from the outfield with some accuracy. On the mound, the right-hander works only from the stretch with a short leg kick and a very short arm stroke coming through an over the top slot. Fastball shows consistent and heavy arm side run at 74-76 mph. Changeup shows slight fade at 69-70 mph. Curveball is still developing at 69-70 mph. 


Bennett Flanary OF / RHP / Owasso, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-10, 140-pound frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an upright, even, balanced, and relaxed set-up with slight rhythm in his hands. Uses a leg lift and arm bar load before launching his hands on a flat path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field approach with lift, some barrels, 74 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.28 second 60. Defensively, in the outfield, shows confident and controlled actions, using a quick hop on his back foot instead of a crow hop. Throws with a moderate arm stroke coming through a high-¾ slot at 73 mph with some accuracy from the outfield. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled delivery with a high up,down, and out leg kick. Arm action is long and very fluid in the back coming through an over the top slot with some arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 72-74 mph, some strikes. Two-seam has consistent run at 74 mph. Changeup has some fade at 63-65 mph. Curveball is advanced with a chance to be a plus pitch in the future with 12/6 shape and big depth at 63-64 mph. 


Gage Gilchrist 1B / RHP / Oklahoma Christian , OK / 2022

A 6-foot-1, 205-pound advanced frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an even and slightly back leg heavy stance with slight rhythm in his hands. Uses a small leg lift, short stride, and arm bar load before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path with excellent extension. In BP, shows a pull approach with occasional lift and much more pop than his 78 mph exit velo would suggest, mostly barrels. Runs an 8.09 second 60. Defensively, shows good lateral movement with deliberate actions. Throws with a long arm stroke coming through a high-¾ slot with excellent accuracy at 72 mph across the infield. On the mound, the right-hander works from a slightly up tempo delivery with a high leg kick followed by a long stride down the mound. Arm action is long and fluid, coming through an over the top slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 73-75 mph, filling up the zone. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with some depth, also for strikes, 61-63 mph. Changeup is still developing, 67-68 mph. 


Ethan Gillespie C / 3B / McAlester, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-6, 145-pound developing frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly open, quiet, and back leg heavy set-up. Uses a smooth hand load with a moderate stride and a late heel plant for timing before sending his hands on a slightly uphill path with big extension. In BP, shows a flat middle/pull ground approach, finding a few barrels, 76 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.66 second 60. Defensively, from behind the dish, shows good hands, receiving from a flexible and sturdy base. Throws down to second with a short arm stroke through an over the top slot with developing accuracy, 70 mph to second base and showcase pop times of 2.20-2.26. Also athletic enough to play in the middle infield. 


Noah Kang SS / RHP / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2022

A lean and projectable 6-foot, 150-pound frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a quiet, athletic, and slightly back leg heavy set-up. Uses a big and controlled leg kick before launching his hands on a flat and short path to contact and a high finish. In BP, shows an all fields and flat approach with some pop and bat speed, almost all barrels, 80 mph exit velo. An elite runner for his age, runs a 6.96 second 60. Defensively, shows active and developing footwork with excellent lateral movement and above average hands. Throws with multiple arm strokes through multiple slots with a quick release with some accuracy, 71 mph across the infield. On the mound, the right-hander works only from the stretch with a high leg kick and long stride down the mound. Arm action is long and fluid in the back coming through a high-¾ with some arm speed. Fastball flashes some arm side run at 74-77 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup shows consistent fade at 69-70 mph. Curveball is advanced with near 12/6 shape and depth at 67-68 mph.


Johnathon Masingale 2B / C / Claremore , OK / 2022

A 5-foot-8, 140-pound developing frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a slightly crouched, balanced, and quiet set-up. Uses a moderate reverse toe-tap stride and aggressive hand load before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path with a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field approach, found a few barrels, 69 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.65 second 60. Defensively, on the infield, shows above average hands and feet. Throws from a short arm stroke coming through a high-¾ slot with carry and some accuracy, 72 mph across the diamond. Also athletic enough to get behind the dish where he is a solid receiver. 


Ryan Orr 1B / 2B / Owasso, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-9, 157-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open and slightly back leg heavy set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load sinking into his back leg before a controlled and moderate stride, then sending his hands on a slightly uphill path through extension. In BP, shows an all fields approach with some lift, finding a few barrels, 72 mph exit velo. Runs an 8.33 second 60. Defensively, at first base, shows clean and fluid actions with solid footwork and soft hands. Throws with a short and efficient arm stroke coming through a ¾ slot with accuracy, 66 mph across the infield.


Brennan Phillips LHP / OF / Owasso, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-11, 135-pound long and projectable frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an open, upright, relaxed, and slightly front foot heavy set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth hand load with a moderate stride before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path with a high finish. In BP, shows an all fields and flat approach with occasional lift, almost all barrels, and more pop than his 69 mph exit velo would suggest. Runs a 7.37 second 60.  Defensively, in the outfield, shows clean and confident actions with athleticism, charging the ball well. Throws with a long arm stroke with a fluid circle coming through a high-¾ slot with accuracy at 76 mph from the outfield. On the mound, the left-hander works from a controlled tempo with an up, down, and out leg kick with excellent drive down the mound. Arm action is long and controlled in the back, coming through a high-¾ slot with looseness. Four-seam fastball ranges 76-78 mph, commanded in the zone. Two-seam fastball sits 74-75 mph with consistent late run. Curveball has 12/6 shape with late depth at 67-68 mph. Changeup shows consistent fade at 73-74 mph. Cutter has late glove side action at 71-73 mph. Overall, shows elite command especially for a player of his age. 


Peyton Roberson C / 1B / Duncan, OK / 2022

An advanced 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a very open, upright, and relaxed set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load with a moderate and controlled leg kick before launching his hands on a flat path to contact with a high finish with advanced bat speed. In BP, shows a gap to gap approach with some lift and advanced pop, almost all barrels, 85 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.59 second 60. Defensively, behind the dish, shows well advanced receiving and blocking skills, with clean and consistent footwork and exchanges on throwdowns. Throws from a typical catchers slot with a short arm stroke at 75 mph to second base with some accuracy and showcase pop times of 2.02-2.28. Also, athletic enough to play a clean first base as well. 


Tate Rupp SS / C / Morrison, OK / 2022

A 6-foot, 160-pound advanced frame with room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a balanced, even and athletic set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load and a moderate and controlled knee-knock leg kick before launching his hands with some quickness on a flat path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field approach with some lift, almost all barrels, 78 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.65 second 60. Defensively, shows advanced feet and elite hands on the infield making the slow roller play with elite skill. Throws from a moderate arm stroke and shows the ability to throw from different slots with some accuracy at 74 mph across the infield. Also athletic enough to be adequate behind the plate as well.  


Tobyn Snow OF / LHP / Deer Creek Lamont , OK / 2022

A 5-foot-9, 130-pound developing frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a back leg heavy and open set-up with some rhythm throughout. Uses a short load and stride before sending his hands on a flat path to contact with high finish. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field and mostly flat approach, found some barrels, 69 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.43 second 60. Defensively, shows confident and clean actions, taking good routes to the ball. Throws with a long arm stroke coming through a ¾ slot, 72 mph from the outfield with some accuracy. Also athletic enough to play first base. On the mound, the left-hander works from a controlled tempo with rhythm and a short leg kick before driving down the mound. Fastball keeps its plane at 69-71 mph, some strikes. Changeup shows consistent and late fade at 59-63 mph. Breaking ball has slurvy shape at 61-64 mph.  


Devyn Trujillo SS / C / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2022

A developing 5-foot-7, 130-pound frame with athleticism. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an even, quiet, and back leg heavy set-up with his back elbow cocked high. Uses a moderate and controlled leg kick before launching his hand on a flat and efficient path to contact with hand speed and excellent extension. In BP, shows an all fields and flat approach with almost all barrels, 76 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.39 second 60. Defensively, shows confident actions with advanced feet and hands. Throws with a long arm stroke coming through a high-¾ slot with excellent accuracy, 68 mph across the infield. Also athletic enough to catch, and is an advanced receiver. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled delivery with good leg drive down the mound. Arm action is moderate length in the back, coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 68-70 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball has consistent 12/6 shape at 59-60 mph. Changeup has fade at 60-61 mph. Knuckleball has some dance at 53-55 mph.  


Carson Williams C / 3B / Ponca City, OK / 2022

A 5-foot-6, 160-pound proportional frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a balanced, even, and quiet set-up with a slight crouch. Uses a smooth load and almost no stride before launching his hands on a flat path to contact with some bat speed and a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field and flat approach, finding almost all barrels, 82 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.71 second 60. Defensively, shows well advanced blocking and receiving skills along with quick and clean actions on throws to second. Throws from a very short arm stroke coming through an over the top slot with some accuracy, 70 mph to second base and showcase pop times of 2.02-2.18. Also athletic enough to play in the middle infield as well.


Reid Williams OF / LHP / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2022

A 6-foot, 173-pound advanced frame with some strength throughout. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a back leg heavy set-up with a slight crouch and rhythm in his hands. Uses a very small stride with a late heel plant for timing before launching his hands with bat speed and strength on a flat path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach flashing big pop and some lift, found a few barrels, 80 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.46 second 60. Defensively, shows aggressive and athletic actions and getting rid of the ball quickly from a high-¾ slot  with a long arm stroke at 75 mph with excellent accuracy. On the mound, the left-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick and long stride down the mound. Arm action has length in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke coming through an over the top slot. Fastball ranges 73-77 mph with some downhill tilt and some strikes. Curveball is still developing with 1/7 shape. Changeup has excellent fading action, thrown with full arm speed at 68-69 mph. 


Brand Wilson C / RHP / Lookeba Sickles , OK / 2023

A 6-foot, 130-pound long and projectable frame. Offensively, the capable switch hitter showed a balanced and athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands from both sides. Uses a bigger leg kick from the right before launching his hands on a flat path from both sides. From the left side, Wilson shows a gap-to-gap and flat approach, finding mostly barrels. From the right-side, he shows a middle to opposite field approach with some lift and more pop, 75 mph exit velo. Runs an 8.33 second 60. Defensively, shows clean and deliberate actions, makes clean throws with accuracy, 70 mph to second base and showcase pop times of 2.23-2.39.
