Andy Urban
Oklahoma Scouting Director

The 2019 spring high school season in Oklahoma generated some incredible individual moments and performances throughout all corners of the state. As the spring high school season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce one player who emerged ahead of the competition at all levels in the state of Oklahoma. This player has been selected not only for their outstanding statistical numbers, but also for their overall effect on their high school program.

Kale Davis

Davis led Westmoore HS into the 6A state tournament as one of the favorites, before falling 1-0 in the opening round pitchers duel against another top arm in the state. On the mound, the statistics were unbelievably gaudy, going 9-1.  In 58 innings, Davis gave up 25 hits and 3 runs, leading to an ERA of 0.36. With a WHIP of just .724, Davis piled up the strikeouts, punching 94 batters, averaging better than 11.34 strikeouts per seven innings.

Kale Davis’ all-around performance, as well as the impact he has had on Westmoore High School, has earned him the 2019 Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma Player of the Year honors.

Kale Davis has been selected by the staff of Prep Baseball Report of Oklahoma.  The team of PBR area scouts who covered the high school baseball season throughout the spring selected Davis amongst a strong group of candidates from across the state. The Prep Baseball Report staff has been diligently scouting and covering baseball games at baseball diamonds across the state this spring to bring parents, athletes and fans the most comprehensive coverage of amateur baseball across the United States. The dedication and coverage allow Prep Baseball Report a credible way to identify the top athletes each year who best represent the state of Oklahoma.
