Andy Urban

The PBR Oklahoma 2022 Class Rankings have been updated after a baseball packed fall. Through some talented events we were able to continue to get more looks at this Junior Class. The 2022s continue to add depth to an already talented class class at the top. Check out the risers, newcomers, and fully expanded rankings, below.

The Risers
As with every season that goes by, many players take major leaps physically and developmentally. Below are some of the biggest risers since our latest rankings.

Keaton Story RHP / OF / Deer Creek, OK / 2022

A highly projectable 6-foot-3 175-pound right hander with long limbs, Story has made a big velo jump and has plenty more left in the tank. At the SWAT Scout Day, Story shows an advanced breaking ball, fastball up to 87 and command of the zone with both pitches.

Duncan Key C / OF / Deer Creek, OK / 2022

A quick-twitch and lean 5-foot-10 155-pound frame, Key plays with energy behind the plate. A surprising runner as a catcher positing a laser timed 6.83, Key also shows of his quick action along with a strong arm in 1.87-1.96 showcase pop times. The right-hander is a front foot heavy hitter with barrel control who will continue to rise as he adds size and strength.

Blake Seefeldt 1B / RHP / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2022

Seefeldt is a physically impressive 6-foot-1 220-pound two-way prospect with elite strength. On the mound, the right-hander shows a long and quick arm action through a high-3/4 slot. Seefeldt features a mid 80s riding fastball with an overhand curveball and heavy fading changeup as secondary pitchers. Offensively, the righ-handed hitter posted an eye popping exit velo of 101 mph off the tee and put on a solid performance in BP. If Seefeltdt can stay mobile, he will continue to rise as he polishes his game.

Jaxon McAuliff 3B / SS / Jenks , OK / 2022

After adding substantial size and strength, McAuliff shots up the rankings. The right-handed hitter posted tee exit velos of 88 and was up to 92 in mph on Trackman. Defensively, McAuliff was viable at third and in the outfield, but shined brightest behind the plate with pop times as low as 1.95.

Cody Sorrells 3B / RHP / Deer Creek, OK / 2022

A 6-foot-1, 160-pound lean athletic two-way player, Sorrells keeps improving his numbers every time we see him. Sorrells dropped his most recent 60 time to one of the best in the class at 6.77. Sorrell has also seen his arm strength jump to 82 positionally an up to 83 on the mound.

The Newcomers
We didn't see as many new faces this fall as we normally do, but we did find a couple of difference makers. Both prospects below enter the rankings in the top 100.

Luke Stout 3B / SS / Carl Albert, OK / 2022

Another high-end and multi-faceted athlete out of Carl Albert HS. Stout shows the athleticism and feel for the game to play every single position on the field. His arm strength, clean footwork and strength will likely play best behind the dish with showcase pop times as low as 1.88 and third base at the next level. The left-handed hitter show some barrel control and pop with a clean swing.

Jesse Brooks 1B / C / Mount St Mary, OK / 2022

Brooks has a 6-foot-1, 188-pound frame with some strength and room to add more. The right-handed hitter shows a clean and efficient swing with some lift that should continue to play up with added strength.
