PBR OK hosted the third annual OK Winter Open at the state of the art World Baseball Outreach indoor facility. There were  invite-only players showcased their skill in front of the PBR OK staff, 4 colleges and a pro scout. The talented event saw six sub 7.00 60s, five 90+ exit velos, five infield velos of 80+, three outfield velos of 85+, two sub 2.00 second pop times, and nine max fastballs at 80+ mph. Today, we take an in-depth look at the three second basemen from the event.

Cade Bauer 2B / SS / Owasso, OK / 2022

Displayed a lean, compact 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame with athleticism and room to add size and strength as he matures. The left-handed hitter starts with a balanced, even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showcased a strong lower-half generating some barrel whip through a slightly uphill path in the zone. Hit into a stiff front side with late give while registering a solid 82 mph bat-exit velocity off the tee. Showed the ability to control the barrel head, spraying line drives to both gaps. The middle infielder demonstrated a low center of gravity with adequate footwork and soft hands. Featured solid range to both sides with the ability to make plays on the run throwing from multiple arm angles. Notched an accurate 74 mph arm-strength across the infield out of a high ¾ arm-slot.

Case Coble 2B / SS / Madill , OK / 2021

Showcased a long and lean 5-foot-10, 140-pound frame with room to add strength as he matures. The right-handed hitter begins from a balanced, even stance utilizing a leg-lift to initiate his swing. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path with some pull of the barrel while hitting into a tall and stiff front side. Registered a 77 mph bat-exit velocity and recorded a 7.38 60-yard dash. Demonstrated the ability to play low to the ground utilizing long, loose movements allowing for range to both sides. Soft hands and smooth transfers created accurate 74 mph throws across the infield out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot.

William Fleece 2B / OF / Enid , OK / 2020

Showcased feel of a lean, athletic 5-foot-6, 145-pound frame with room to add size and strength as he matures. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a line-drive approach during batting practice while entering the zone through a slightly uphill barrel path and showed feel for his hands. Hit into a soft front-side notching an 81 mph bat-exit velocity. Notched a 7.02 60-yard dash. Demonstrated active feet that arrived on time to the baseball and played through the ball. Advantageous routes allowed for accurate 77 mph throws from his position during defensive evaluations out of a short and quick, high ¾ arm-slot.
