OSSAA 4A State Tournament MVP

Scott Hood
OK/MO/KS/ARK Assistant Scouting Director

The Blanchard Lions needed multiple players to step up in their run at their State Championship and none stood out more than 2022 infielder/right-handed pitcher Brennan Milligan.  The NOC Tonkawa commit got it rolling in the opening round matchup against Pryor where he took the ball on the mound and worked an easy 5 innings in the shortened-game run-rule where he allowed only one unearned run while punching out 5.  He also went 3-4 out of the leadoff spot including a double and a homer to drive in a pair.  He followed that up in the semi-finals going 1-1 with three walks and two stolen bases.  Then in the Championship game Milligan saved his best for last with a 2-4 performance including the walk-off base hit in the bottom of the 7th to give the Lions the 6-5 victory and being crowned the 4A State Champions.

Congratulations to Brennan Milligan on being named this year's 4A State Tournament Most Valuable Player and to the Blanchard Lions for winning the 4A State Championship.
