It was a pitcher’s duel early on as Blake Adams for Heritage Hall and Chase Wetwiska for Bethany went at it. Adams lasted 4.1 innings, coming out of the game at 90 pitches after he had allowed one run on three hits and three walks while striking out eight.  Wetwiska went the distance, tossing a complete game shutout, surrendering just two hits, a walk, and punching out seven. Conner Walstad went 2-for-3 for Bethany and had the games only RBI.

In a rivalry matchup with the district title hanging in the balance, Blanchard had an offensive explosion that kept them in the race. All but one player in the lineup had a hit for the Lions, and everyone had a run scored or an RBI. Leading the way was Kansas State commit Brett Owen and freshman Bryce Madron. Owen was 2-for-4 with a home  run, three RBI’s, two runs scored, and a walk in the six inning game. Madron was 1-for-2 with a home run, two RBI’s, two runs scored, and a walk.  Behind Blanchard’s offence outburst, Oklahoma commit Aaron Brooks was solid on the mound, throwing all six, giving up two runs on six hits, three walks, and striking out seven.  For Tuttle, Hunter Hughes was the bright spot, going 2-for-3 with a double and two stolen bases.

Union tried to make a last inning comeback, down three, but feel just short. Offensively, for Owasso, Athanie Leeviraphan lead the way, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. On the mound, Nate Wohlgemuth had an adventurous outing, only giving up one run through five innings of work on three hits, but walked six and struck out seven to get to 110 pitches relatively early.  For Union, Oklahoma Wesleyan recruit Kyle Simms posted a 2-for-4 day with two RBI’s. New Mexico signee Zack Doak reached base four times, one hit and three walks.
