Be on the lookout in the coming days as we release our Preseason ID dates and our premiere event of the year in Oklahoma the Preseason All State

THE TOP TEN

Avery Ortiz SS / RHP / Union, OK / 2023

Ortiz remains the number one ranked player in the State and with some looks at him throughout this fall, Ortiz has continued to add strength and size to his frame.  Arguably the top power hitter in OK, the Oklahoma State commit should be poised to continue to put up big numbers with the bat this upcoming Spring.

Jaxon Willits SS / Fort Cobb-Broxton, OK / 2023

We caught another look at Willits a few weeks back at the Class B State Championship where he helped lead Fort Cobb-Broxton to a Fall State Title.  Willits continues to show his elite box presence and feel for the strike zone but what really caught our eye was the improvement on the defensive side of the ball.  Always an adequate defender at short, the Oklahoma commit is starting to move at a high level and shows much stronger range and arm strength.

Maxwell Knight LHP / OF / Bixby , OK / 2023

Knight maintains his third spot in the rankings and one of the more projectable players in the entire class.  The Oklahoma State commit swings with advanced leverage and has more oppo power than anyone we've seen in OK for the 2023 class.  You can also catch him on the mound where the fastball has been up to the low 90's and feel for a true swing and miss curveball.

Kyler Proctor SS / RHP / Silo, OK / 2023

Proctor remains the fourth ranked player in the State and our last look at him at the Class A Fall State Championship game showed glimpses of what makes him a game-changing prospect.  The Oklahoma State commit has lightning quick hands at the plate and shows the ability to turn on fastballs with hand strength and extension.  Proctor also has smooth actions at short and a big-time arm that can play on the left side of the infield at the next level.

Weston Rouse LHP / 1B / Fort Gibson , OK / 2023

Rouse moves in to the number 5 spot in the rankings moving up a spot after continuing to dominate the national circuit.  The Oklahoma State commit continues to make jumps on the mound especially in the shape and spin of the curveball making him incredibly difficult to handle as a hitter.  With his size and frame, if Rouse continues to make jumps in his velocity look for him to make some real noise this upcoming Spring.

Colin Fisher LHP / 1B / Noble, OK / 2023

Fisher checks in to the rankings as the number 6 overall prospect and one of the highest floors on this list.  The Arkansas commit already works the fastball into the lower 90's and has one of the best-shaped breaking balls in the State.  With his ability to spin the breaking ball and strike-throwing attributes, look for Fisher to have a big Spring in 2023.

Austin Lemon OF / SS / Heritage Hall, OK / 2023

Lemon maintains his spot in the rankings at number 7 overall as he is one of the best overall athletes in the class.  The Oklahoma State commit shows top of the order skills thanks to his elite speed and ability to handle the bat from both sides of the plate.  Look for Lemon to have a big Spring in 2023 for Heritage Hall as one of the top run generators in the State.

Camden Bates SS / 2B / Washington , OK / 2023

Bates sees a slight rise in the rankings after continuing to show his ability on the National stage with his elite bat to ball skills.  The Tennessee commit always shows a knack for finding barrels and is able to drive the ball from gap to gap each time we get a look at him.  Bates also shows smooth actions defensively and strong overall feel for the speed of the game.

Jax Ryan SS / 2B / Verdigris , OK / 2023

Ryan checks in at number nine in the state having one of the more projectable power bats from the middle of the diamond.  The OU commit has some of the best bat speed in the area and when he times it up the ball can explode off his bat.  Ryan also plays a steady short stop with strong body control and understands routes around the ball with strong footwork and glove action.

Cooper Moore C / RHP / Bixby, OK / 2023

Moore remains number ten in the State and is also one of the more interesting prospects in the class.  The Kansas commit has elite catch and throw skills and can erase even some of the top base stealers in the State.  Moore collects hits in bunches thanks to his level path and ability to work the hands to the inside part of the ball.  Moore can also jump onto the mound and has shown the ability to work the fastball into the low 90's making him an interesting prospect to keep an eye on.

BIGGEST RANKINGS MOVER

Cade Baldridge SS / 2B / Roff, OK / 2023

Baldridge sees a rise in the rankings moving up to number 25 overall in the class after another look at him at the Fall Class B State Championship.  The switch-hitting middle infielder shows some real physicality from the left side of the plate with advanced strength at contact and feel for the barrel.  The Cowley County commit will definitely be a prospect to keep an eye on over the next couple of years as he continues to add more strength.

NEWCOMERS TO THE RANKINGS

Cyrus Kornegay 3B / SS / Collinsville, OK / 2023

Kornegay enters the rankings at number 65 overall after a strong showing at the OK Fall Upperclass Games on October 30th.  Kornegay put up big numbers throughout the day running a 7.14 60 to go along with advanced arm strength at 88 mph from the infield.  The currently uncommitted prospect shows strong barrel control and smooth rhythm at the plate.  The Fall Upperclass Games was our first look at him in a showcase setting but we caught him earlier this year sending Collinsville to the State Tournament with a walk-off homer.

Mason Trotter LHP / OF / Carl Albert, OK / 2023

Trotter was a standout on the mound at the OK Fall Upperclass Games landing him in the rankings for the first time at number 87 overall.  The Carl Albert product worked the fastball in the lower 80's but it was an elite spinning curveball that really caught our attention.  The mid 70's curveball had spin around the 2500 range and very sharp downward action.  The ability to spin the curveball the way he does makes him an excellent candidate at the next level to attack opposing left-handed hitters and should be a guy that shows up on people's recruiting radars.
