Oklahoma Fall Rankings Update: 2025 Class

Scott Hood
OK/MO/KS/ARK Assistant Scouting Director

As we move into the Winter months Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma makes a modest adjustment to the 2025 class rankings.  The 2025 class in the Sooner State is arguably one of the more projectable classes we have with multiple plus athletes with skills and some arms that are showing serious potential.  Although the top 10 remains unchanged in this update, there were a few big movers after some strong performances from the fall as well as a handful of newcomers joining the list which we highlight down below.

We have three dates on the books for the next couple of months with the Stillwater Preseason ID on December 18th, The OKC Preseason ID on January 29th, and our Preseason All-State Event being held at Oral Roberts University on February 12th.

TOP RISERS

Justin Tracy LHP / OF / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2025

Tracy sees one of the largest jumps in the class after an impressive showing at the OK Fall Underclass Games where he caught the eye of all who attended with his work on both sides of the ball.  The Edmond Memorial product jumps from 64 to number 17 in the rankings thanks to strong measurables as well as impressing in the game portion of the event.  Tracy runs a 6.95 60 to go along with an impressive showing with the bat in his hand making consistent line drive contact from the left side with exit velocities up to 90 mph.  On the mound he shows some serious potential with the fastball working up to 82 mph and showing strong feel for the curveball with big depth and shape.  With his athleticism and already showing the ability to translate his tools to gameplay, look for Tracy to continue to make big jumps as he adds more strength to his frame.

Cody Wheeler C / 3B / Wagoner, OK / 2025

Wheeler is another big rankings riser after a strong performance at the OK Fall Upperclass Games seeing his stock rise from 55th to 23rd overall.  The 6-foot-3 and 180-pound backstop from Wagoner put on a display behind the plate with pop times as low as 1.87 with an impressive 76 mph from the crouch.  The arm strength carried over into the infield with an 86 mph reading from across the diamond giving him some positional versatility.  Wheeler swings with strong leverage and is able to generate exit velocities up to 91 mph with plenty more in the tank.

Logan McGuire C / RHP / Sperry , OK / 2025

McGuire sees a jump in the rankings up 18 spots to number 40 on the list.  The Sperry catcher continues to make jumps each time we see him and impressed behind the plate with a 1.95 pop time with throws showing strong carry and accuracy to the bag.  Offensively he uses his advanced strength especially in the lower half to drive balls up to 92 mph showing some future power potential.  If McGuire continues to make the type of jumps we've seen from him already throughout his high school career, he shows a chance to become an impact bat that can stay at a premium position.

Hunter DeHues 1B / RHP / Coweta, OK / 2025

There was no one that moved up the rankings list more than DeHues in this rankings update jumping from 110 to number 52 in the class.  The Coweta product shows some promise with the bat with his advanced hand strength but what really caught our attention was his work on the mound at the OK Fall Underclass Games.  The fastball right now is working in the lower 80's and should continue to make jumps with his above average hand speed, but it was the feel for a hard slider with short and late action that can be a separator in the future.  Look for DeHues to continue to make jumps with the fastball and become a tough matchup for hitters in the coming years.

TOP NEWCOMERS

Dartyn Meeks SS / 3B / Wister, OK / 2025

Meeks enters the rankings for the first time at number 15 overall in the state as one of the more projectable athletes on both sides of the ball in the class.  Meeks put his skills on display at the OK Fall Underclass Games where he ran a 6.92 in the 60 to go along with exit velos up to 93 mph.   Meeks uses his 6-foot-3 and 170-pound frame to swing with strong leverage and shows quick hands through the zone.  With all his projectability as a position player it is his work on the mound that shows some serious potential.  Meeks is already working the fastball up to 87 mph with a very quick arm and shows a tight lower 70's curveball with swing and miss action.  Meeks has become a must follow for programs at the next level as he offers the type of projectability and skills that can play up at a high level.

Lane Tinsley SS / RHP / Big Pasture, OK / 2025

Tinsley enters the rankings for the first time at number 62 in the class after a strong performance at the OK Fall Underclass Games.  Tinsley is already showing hand strength with the bat with a level bat path generating exit velos up to 90 mph.  Defensively he shows active feet and a quick release out of the glove with an accurate arm.  Tinsley the type of physicality that should continue to emerge as he gets more experience under his belt.
