PBR OK Power 25: Week Two

Spring Break has passed and we now get into the meat of the 2023 Spring campaign.  The Power 25 Rankings is now in it's third update and there has been a lot of movement as teams start to find themselves and results are starting to flow in.  Spring Break can be a challenge with teams playing all over the country as well as in tournament play here in Oklahoma.  While there is a slight bit of projection still left in these rankings, the rankings start to shift now more towards wins, competitiveness in games, and strength of schedule.

The Spartans maintain their spot on the top of the Power 25 after an undefeated week against some quality competition.  The Pioneers move up into the two spot after their strong start to the season and quality road trip down in Gulf Shores Alabama.  The Redhawks see a slight jump in the Power 25 after they had a strong showing at the Tate Aggie Classic down in Florida.  The Tigers from Tuttle see their stock rise as they remain undefeated and show a battle tested bunch, winning a couple of close games throughout the week against strong opposition.  Enid makes its move into the Top 10 for the first time in 2023 as they are showing one of the deeper pitching staffs and an exciting lineup 1-9.

The biggest mover this week comes from the Broken Arrow Tigers as they jump 8 spots to number 12 on the list as they continue to rack up a state-leading 9 wins on the early season slate.  Piedmont jumps 4 spots to number 14 due to their strong play against some of the state's best teams and a deep lineup that can beat you in multiple ways.  Another consistent mover in the Power 25 are the Millers from Yukon as they continue to show some strength after a successful road trip and an offense that's been putting up big numbers so far throughout the year.

We have three newcomers to the Power 25 this week with Oktaha debuting on the list at 22nd thanks to their 3-0 start and impressive win against number 9 ranked Edmond North.  Collinsville joins the list for the first time in 2023 after racking up 8 wins already this season with their only loss coming in taking #2 all the way to brink in a 3-2 loss.  And finally the Rams from Rattan make their debut at number 25 on the Power 25 thanks to their hot start to the year as well as taking down number 2 Stillwater in Gulf Shores.
