The third annual PBR Sandlot Scout Day was held at Broken Arrow HS on May 18th and at Oklahoma Christian on May 19th. This two day event feature most players in Sandlot organization. Covered here are only those players who chose to upgrade to a PBR profile at the event.

Grayson Adams LHP / OF / Bethany, OK / 2021 Top 10 positionally in his class. Showcased a 6-foot-2, 165-pound lean, athletic frame.  The left-handed hitter starts from a tall, open stance with hands resting on the shoulder. A rock back upon load coupled with a leg-hang initiates his swing. Used a simple, repeatable swing to barrel the ball with consistency during batting practice. Registered an 81 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Smooth actions in the outfield and feet that arrived to the ball on time allowed for accurate 81 mph throws to carry towards the plate.

Hunter Claxton OF / RHP / Collinsville, OK / 2020 The 6-foot, 194-pound outfielder features a stocky frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter starts from a square stance while utilizing a leg-kick to initiate his swing. Depends on rhythm while landing and exploding to a stiff front-side. Demonstrated feel for the barrel during batting practice registering an 82 mph bat-exit velocity with a slight arm-bar, gap-to-gap approach with some lift, mostly barrels. Recorded a 7.50 60-yard dash. The outfielder displayed solid footwork guiding accurate 82 mph throws towards home plate out of a quick high ¾ arm-slot.

Jake Coffee OF / Vian, OK / 2020 The outfielder displayed a 5-foot-8, 145-pound lean frame. The right-handed hitter begins from a crouched, open stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated a line-drive approach during batting practice with a negative attack angle. Registered a 66 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded a 7.53 60-yard dash. Showcased adequate actions defensively with average footwork. Demonstrated soft hands on accurate throws of 71 mph from his position.

Jake Coleman OF / RHP / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2020 Top 12 positionally in his class. The 5-foot-11, 145-pound outfielder displayed a tall, lean frame with present twitch. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced, slightly open stance and utilizes an easy lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Gets into the zone early hitting behind the baseball with consistency. Barreled balls with regularity towards the middle of the field, registering bat exit velocities of 82 mph. Recorded a 6.68 60-yard dash, tying for second fastest at the event. Displayed easy, athletic actions in the outfield with advanced footwork that played through the baseball. The ball jumped out of a long, over-the-top arm-stroke with noticeable carry evidenced by a 93 mph outfield arm. With his current speed and arm-strength, Coleman should allow himself the opportunity to play any three OF positions at the next level.

Andersen Dotolo OF / RHP / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2022 Ranked top 10 positionally in his class. The 5-foot-10, 158-pound outfielder wields an athletic frame. Right-handed hitter starts with a bent, slightly-open stance and utilizes a toe-tap to initiate his swing. Displayed solid barrel awareness, hitting behind the baseball with regularity, showing a middle of the field and flat approach. Registered an 81 mph bat-exit velocity. Showcased adequate footwork in the outfield masked by soft hands that worked through the ball. Better momentum towards the target will improve a solid 76 mph arm-strength from his position. Recorded a 7.65 60-yard dash.

Larry Edwards OF / Metro Christian Academy, OK / 2021 Top 8 positionally in his class. A 6-foot, 170-pound athletic frame, Edwards certainly looks the part of a college outfielder. The right-handed hitter starts in a crouched, closed stance and utilizes a quick lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed lightning quick hands while being able to get on-plane with the baseball early in the hitting zone. Found consistent barrels during batting practice, registered an 80 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded an impressive 6.75 60-yard dash time. Demonstrated fluid, athletic actions in the outfield with good reads on balls hit in front and behind. Feet played through the ball guiding accurate 72 mph throws from a short take-away towards the target.

Bennett Flanary OF / RHP / Owasso, OK / 2022 Top 8 positionally in his class. A 5-foot-11, 155-pound lean, athletic frame. The right-handed hitter starts from a tall, slightly open stance and utilizes a leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Rocks back for rhythm before hitting into a stiff front-side. Found the barrel consistently during batting practice, registered a 75 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded a 7.50 60-yard dash. The outfielder featured easy actions with solid footwork during defensive evaluations. Showcased an accurate, 78 mph arm-strength from his position.

Simon Goehler OF / RHP / Owasso, OK / 2021 Top 10 positionally in his class. A 6-foot, 180-pound physical frame with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter starts with a slightly bent, open stance utilizing a quick lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a smooth repeatable stroke, entering the zone early with twitch if needed. Showcased advanced barrel awareness while registering an 89 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 6.87 60-yard dash. The outfielder demonstrated easy movements during defensive evaluations with feet that played through the baseball. Featured 82 mph arm-strength from his position.

Levi Gunn OF / SS / Cascia Hall, OK / 2020 The primary outfielder features 5-foot-10, 165-pound lean, athletic frame. The right-handed hitter starts from a square, slightly crouched stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Hit to a stiff front-side with hips that at times pulled off the baseball. Displayed an 80 mph bat-exit velocity, showed feel for the barrel during batting practice, spraying balls with a flat approach. Recorded a 6.92 60-yard dash. Defensively, showcased adequate actions with solid footwork. Soft hands played through balls hit on the ground. Demonstrated a long over-the-top arm-stroke registering throws of 75 mph from the outfield.

Emanuel Jeter OF / LHP / Tuttle, OK / 2021 Top 12 positionally in his class. The primary outfielder featured an athletic 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame. The left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance with a small bend in the knees. A controlled barrel wiggle at the ear coupled with a leg-lift initiate his swing. Repeated a smooth stroke consistently during batting practice with advanced barrel awareness. Displayed easy 83 mph bat-exit velocities with room for more. Recorded a 7.36 60-yard dash. Demonstrated easy, smooth actions defensively with footwork that played through the baseball with regularity. Flashed an accurate 83 mph arm-strength from his position.

Logan Lagasse OF / LHP / Cashion, OK / 2020 Ranked top 15 positionally in his class. Featured an athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. The left-handed hitter begins from an open stance and utilizes a leg-kick to initiate his swing. Got on plane early with the baseball while demonstrating advanced feel for a strong lower half. Showcased the ability to drive the ball with backspin to both gaps while registering an 88 mph bat-exit velocity.  Recorded a solid 6.96 60-yard dash. Displayed athleticism in the outfield arriving to the baseball on time consistently. Feet played through the ball with regularity, guiding accurate 85 mph throws that carried towards home plate.

Kyndon Lovell LHP / OF / Lookeba-Sickles, OK / 2022 Ranked top 5 pitcher nationally in his class. Displayed a 6-foot, 160-pound lean, athletic frame with obvious projectability. The left-handed hitter starts from a tall, open stance and uses a violent leg-kick to initiate his swing. Sinks into a stiff front-side with a barrel that picks up speed through the zone. Registered a 91 mph bat-exit velocity, during batting practice drove the baseball with backspin and consistent lift to the pull side, almost all barrels . Recorded a 7.22 60-yard dash.

Jacob Masingale RHP / C / Collinsville , OK / 2020 A 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed OF hits from a slightly tall and open setup, uses a toe tap to stride and load, preset inward turn back leg. Some stiffness in the lower half, back hip and leg struggle to get through, catches the baseball deep in the zone. Middle to back side approach with slight lift, long path, 79 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.22 60. Defensively from the OF, short stride to throw with weak front side, short arm stroke in the back, shoulders work uphill. Throws lacked carry, more momentum and arm strength to develop, ball traveled well at 70 mph to 3rd base.

Gunnar McCollough RHP / OF / Coweta, OK / 2021  A physically advanced 6-foot-3, 215-pound muscular frame. The right-handed hitter starts from a crouched, slightly-open stance using a leg-lift to initiate his swing. Showed long actions at the plate while sometimes pulling the barrel through the zone. Strong lower half helped create barrel whip on bat-exit velocities of 84 mph.

Dillon Palmer OF / SS / Byng, OK / 2022 Featured a 5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic frame with solid feel for his body. The right-handed hitter starts from a bent, slightly-open stance utilizing a quick lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Cleared the front-side early while entering the zone deep to find barrels. Generated backspin to both gaps recording a 77 mph bat-exit velocity. Displayed fluid actions during defensive evaluations with smooth footwork. Soft hands allowed for aggressive feet to play through the baseball and carry 83 mph throws across the infield. Recorded a 6.97 60-yard dash.

Gunner Phillips RHP / OF / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2021 Displayed an athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame.  The right-handed hitter starts from a square, crouched stance with deep hands and weight that rocks from front leg to back leg. Utilizes a short toe-tap to initiate his swing while entering the zone deep behind the baseball. Drove 84 mph bat-exit velocities off the tee and showed backspin to both gaps during batting practice. Recorded a 7.47 60-yard dash. Showcased fluid, rhythmic movements defensively with feet that carried through the baseball aggressively. Accurate 79 mph throws from the outfield played well, guided by a strong lower-half towards the plate.

Brennan Phillips LHP / OF / Owasso, OK / 2022 A 6-foot, 155-pound projectible frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the offensive side, the left-handed hitter bats from a narrow, upright, and open set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate stride and arm bar load before launching his hands on an uphill path through extension. In BP, shows an opposite field gap approach with lift and some barrels, more pop than his 80 mph exit velo would suggest. Runs a 7.33 60. Defensively, shows high energy and confident actions, active footwork coming through the ball well and adequate hands. On throws, shows a long and fluid arm stroke coming through an over the top slot with accuracy at 81 mph.

Chandler Suddath OF / 2B / Broken Arrow, OK / 2020 Displayed a lean 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame with present athleticism. The left-handed hitter starts with an open, slightly bent stance where hands are resting on the shoulder. Utilizes a fluid bat wiggle and leg-hang combination upon load to create rhythm towards the baseball. Showed advanced feel for hands while hitting into a soft front-side. Registered an 81 mph bat-exit velocity. During batting practice, shows a pull side and flat approach, some barrels. Recorded a solid 6.91 60-yard dash. Demonstrated smooth, athletic movements in the outfield with feet that played through the ball. A short, quick high ¾ arm-stroke yielded accurate 81 mph throws from his position. A longer takeaway could see an increase in arm-strength.

Eric Thompson OF / RHP / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2022 Ranked 12th overall in OK class of 2022 rankings. 6-foot-1, 165-pound primary outfielder featured a long, lean frame with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter starts from a square, slightly bent stance with hands by the shoulder. A leg-hang coupled with hands loading back initiates his swing. Displayed ability to connect hips and hands deep in the zone creating backspin to both gaps. Found consistent barrels while hitting into a soft front-side, yielding an 83 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded a 6.96 60-yard dash. Demonstrated long movements in the outfield with adequate footwork. Flashed an accurate 81 mph throwing arm during defensive evaluations with a strong lower half.

Jett Tucker OF / 3B / Owasso , OK / 2021 Ranked top 5 positionally in his class. 6-foot-3, 188 pound outfielder displayed an advanced physical frame with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter starts from a square, bent stance with hands at the shoulder and utilized a quick lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showcased a fluid lower-half getting on-plane with the ball early, creating lift to both gaps. Featured advanced barrel awareness with a swing that stays long in the zone. Registered an 88 mph bat-exit velocity with high extension through the baseball. Flashed smooth, easy actions with a quick first step in the outfield while taking precise routes to the ball. A long takeaway and over-the-top arm-stroke created carry on accurate 82 mph throws to the target.

Blake Williams LHP / OF / Bixby, OK / 2021 The 6-foot, 170-pound lean and athletic frame with some strength. The left-handed hitter starts from an even, upright stance with hands by the shoulder. Uses a short lift-and-replace stride and loose rhythm to initiate his swing. Demonstrated advanced feel for the barrel during batting practice with a swing that gains speed through the zone. Created noticeable barrel whip as evidenced by an 87 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded a 6.90 60-yard dash. The outfielder showcased fluid, athletic movements during defensive evaluations with feet that played through the baseball. Played low to the ground with a comfortable first-step. Registered accurate 80 mph throws from his position.
