PBR OK strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

This fall, PBR OK will be highlighting some of the top ranked and uncommitted players in the 2018 Class as they prepare to enter their senior seasons. Today, we look at a projectable athlete who made some noise at the end of the summer, RHP Jake Adams from Bethany HS.

Scouting Report

5-21-17

A 6-foot-3, 190-pound long and athletic frame with some strength for this two-way player who really shines on the mound. The right-hander works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with rhythm, high-leg kick, and glides to the dish under control. The arm action is long and loose with a full arm-circle and fast out front with some effort from a high-3/4 slot. The fastball jumps out of Adams' hand with some downhill tilt, 86-87 mph with reports up to 89 mph. Slider flashes some late and sharp action with 11/5 shape, backs up at times, 72-78 mph. Changeup shows some fade 78-79 mph. With his athleticism, frame, and arm speed, Adams is a talented prospect on the mound that will only get better as he continues to dial in his command and consistency. At the dish, the right-handed hitter uses a moderate knee-knock leg kick to launch his hands on a flat path. Stayed in the pull gap with some carry in BP, barreling most balls. Posted an exit velo of 83. In the outfield, shows athletic, confident actions. Runs through throws, some accuracy, 83 mph. Runs a 7.34 60.
