Season Outlook
The 2017 Edmond Santa Fe Wolves return four starting position players and two pitchers with more than 15 innings. The Wolves are a junior heavy team with some solid senior leadership that could surprise some people in the very talented COAC.

On the mound, the Wolves won’t look to a true ace on the staff, but will instead be lead by a trio of arms, sophomore Blake Robertson, junior Alex Andrews, and senior Ethan Schlabach. Junior J.T. Ray could also contribute some very meaningful innings as well. Look for the fairly inexperienced staff to have a quick learning curve.

Offensively, NOC Tonkawa commit Dominick Trevino will lead the way from somewhere towards the top of the order with good hand eye and advanced speed. The physical Robertson, senior Brett Huber, and junior Ryan Walden will likely fill the middle of the order for Edmond Santa Fe. Junior Ryan Knutson will also likely make an impact offensively with his physicality in the box and some speed.

Defensively, the Wolves will be strong in the outfield with speedy Trevino and Knutson who show the ability to cover a lot of ground. On the infield, an important piece of the puzzle will be the versatile Schlabach who has the ability to play shortstop, third base, and catch. Andrews and Huber will get a majority of the innings in the infield as well.
