OK Top Senior Games: Infielders

The OK Top Senior Games took place at the University of Central Oklahoma on June 1st.  The event featured players from the 2022 class and today we take a look at the infielders who attended.  The top infield arm strength radar gun readings belonged to Ethan Rone who registered an impressive 87 mph.  Blake Seefeldt topped the leaderboard with an exit velocity off the tee at 100 mph and also showed his serious hand strength during the BP session with an exit velocity of 103 mph.  Cody Sorrells clocked the fastest 60 time with a laser-timed 6.75 with Daxton Hembree coming in right behind him at 6.76.  Check out all the info from the infielders and their scouting reports from the event down below.

Gavin Blue SS / 2B / Coalgate, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: MIF

Body: 6-foot, 185-pound strong and mature frame.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and upright posture.  Hands set slightly above shoulder height with relaxed back elbow.  Hands get set quietly into position with minimal movement.  Simple stride with front knee turned in trigger.  Even weight distribution between the feet at contact point with good balance throughout the swing.  Top hand strong swing with rotational upper body.  High hand speed metrics according to Blast sensor.  Line drive approach with level bat path.

Power: 81 mph exit velocity off the tee and 84 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-73 mph.  High ¾ arm slot with arm working across the body at release.

Defense: In the infield works laterally around the ball with short and choppy feet.  Fields the ball out in front of the body with a developing feel for glove action.  Showed good lateral movement especially to the backhand side with a clean transfer out of the glove.

Run: 7.82 runner in the 60.

Jarod Fugate OF / RHP / Norman North , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: OF/MIF

Body: 6-foot, 165-pound lean frame with long limbs and room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: Switch.  At the plate from the left side starts with a narrow base and upright posture.  Smooth rhythm with simple stride to athletic posture with hands getting set at shoulder height with a mid height back elbow.  Level bat path with a strong top hand.  Line drive approach and works the ball gap to gap.  At the plate from the right side starts with a similar narrow stance with the body raising up to the stride.  Has more of an uphill bat path from the right side trying to work the ball up in the air.  Swing is driven by hands working hard to the inside part of the ball.

Power: 74 mph exit velocity off the tee and 81 mph exit velocity in BP. 

Arm: RH. OF-73 mph.  INF-69 mph.  In the outfield has a longer ¾ arm slot with high release point.  In the infield has utilizes a ¾ arm slot with the hand finishing across the body at release.

Defense: In the outfield attacks the ball with shorter steps maintaining body control.  Works underneath the ball deep on fly balls and utilizes a short shuffle step for the crow hop.  In the infield uses short and choppy steps when working around the ball.  Quick exchanges out of the glove.  Fields the ball with a stiff glove and has developing rhythm and feel for glove action.

Run: 7.39 runner in the 60. 

Jesse Brooks 1B / C / Mount St Mary, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 1B/C

Body: 6-foot-1, 188-pound muscular frame with a strong lower half.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture in the upper body.  Hands set slightly above shoulder height with a mid height back elbow.  Uses a small leg lift stride that gets to good balance and foot gets set early into the process.  Strong upper body rotation with an uphill bat path.  Likes to work the ball up in the air.  Lets the ball travel deep into the zone and gets good extension.  Does a good job of maintaining balance throughout the swing.  

Power: 83 mph exit velocity off the tee and 85 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-76 mph.  C-64 mph.  In the infield utilizes a high ¾ arm slot with short/stiff arm action.  Behind the plate has a very short arm action with the hand tight to the mask.

Defense:  In the infield shows smooth rhythm with the feet working to the ball as well as good footwork around the bag.  Fields the ball out in front of the body with a feel for glove action.  Behind the plate showcased pop times ranging from 2.15-2.25 with quick transfers out of the glove.  Works very quick out of the crouch on throws down to second with weight on top of front foot at release.  Shows a good blocking technique with some flexibility in the hips. 

Run: 7.66 runner in the 60. 

Elijah Laus SS / OF / Edmond North, OK / 2022

 

Positional Profile: MIF

Body: 5-foot-7, 160-pound developing frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture in the upper body.  Hands set quickly into position at shoulder height with a relaxed back elbow.  Smooth traditional stride with good weight transfer to a firm front side.  Gets good backside turn with the back side working linearly through the zone.  Simple swing mechanics that are repeatable.  Short bat path through the zone with quick hands.  Maintains good balance throughout the swing.  Shows some present strength at contact with a compact swing.  Line drive approach and shows the ability to go gap to gap.

Power: 90 mph exit velocity off the tee and 88 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-76 mph.  High ¾ arm slot with clean arm action.

Defense: In the infield shows the ability to work around the ball with good rhythm with the feet.  Shows a little bounce with his steps and fields the ball out in front of the body with good glove action.  Does a good job of playing underneath the ball with good fielding position.  Shows good slow roller technique with clean transfers out of the glove. 

Run: 7.14 runner in the 60.

Spencer Boles OF / C / Choctaw, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: OF/3B

Body: 6-foot, 195-Pound muscular and athletic frame.

Hit: RHH.  Starts with a slightly open stance and athletic posture.  Slow loads into the lower half with good weight transfer into the back knee with hands working back to shoulder height with slight arm-bar with front arm.  Strong upper body rotation with good overall bat speed.  Has some strength at contact.  Does a good job of getting on plane with the pitch by matching the lower half to the bat path.  Has home run power potential.

Power: 96 mph exit velocity off the tee and 91 mph exit velocity in BP.

Arm: RH.  OF-85 mph.  INF-75 mph.  Over the top arm slot with good hand speed and extension out in front at release.   In the infield the arm slot is a little lower and a shorter arm action.

Defense:  In the outfield works behind the ball well with rhythm into the crow hop.  Explosive crow hop technique with a shuffle step and the back leg driving through hard towards the target.  Fields the ball outside the glove side foot with good glove action.  In the infield works longer strides towards the ball with developing feel for glove action. 

Run: 7.04 runner in the 60.

Jarrett Flaggert SS / 3B / Choctaw , OK / 2022

Body: 6-foot-3, 190-pound long and lean frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture.  Hands set at shoulder height with a high back elbow.  Two-tap rhythm with the lower half with good weight transfer from the backside into a firm front side.  Does a good job of working the lower half underneath the ball to match plane with the pitch.  Hands work quickly through the zone and shows some real strength at contact.  Shows present and future power potential with good overall bat speed and strong lower half.  Level bat path and likes to work the middle of the field.

Power: 99 mph exit velocity off the tee and 96 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-85 mph.  Over the top arm slot with longer arm action and high release point. 

Defense: In the infield works around the ball with longer strides and shows a developing feel for rhythm with the feet.  Plays underneath the ball with a good fielding position.  Fields the ball out in front with a stiff glove action.  Covers a ground laterally with longer strides.  Clean transfer out of the glove on the slow roller with good technique.

Run: 7.09 runner in the 60.

Keaton Campbell SS / 3B / Charles Page, OK / 2022

 

Positional Profile: MIF

Body: 6-foot-2, 185-pound muscular and athletic frame with strong lower body.  

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture.  Hands get set at shoulder height with relaxed back elbow.  Short leg lift stride with good control of weight on the back side.  Maintains balance throughout the swing.  Simple swing mechanics that are repeatable.  Shows some real strength at contact with future power potential.  Hands work quickly through the zone and plays the ball deeper into the hitting zone with hands working hard to the inside part of the ball.  Does a good job of utilizing the whole field and works to get the ball up in the air.

Power: 93 mph exit velocity off the tee and 93 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: INF-83 mph.  ¾ arm slot with good hand speed and quick release.  Hand works across the chest controlling the flight of the ball well.  

Defense: In the infield shows advanced feel for working routes around the ball.  Fields the ball out in front of the body with good glove action and soft glove.  Transfers ball to the center of the chest with clean transfers out of the glove.  Shows good lateral agility and can cover a lot of ground with smooth longer strides.  Shows good slow roller technique with smooth transfer and getting the ball out of the hand in rhythm.

Run: 7.10 runner in the 60.  

Daxton Hembree 3B / RHP / Westville, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot, 185-pound athletic frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance with an athletic posture in the upper body.  Heavy weight shift to the back side.  Hands set slightly below shoulder height with a relaxed back elbow.  Two-tap stride with quick rhythm and lands at even weight distribution at contact point.  Hands work quickly through the zone with a strong top hand.  Level bat path with a line drive approach.  Swings the bat hard with good rotation.  Shows some strength at contact.

Power: 87 mph exit velocity off the tee and 91 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF- 82 mph.  High ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the back end with hand working across the chest at release and a slight recoil.

Defense: In the infield works directly towards the ball with the feet with shorter strides.  Fields the ball out in front of the body with a developing feel for glove action and a stiff glove.  Ranges well especially to the glove side.  

Run: 6.76 runner in the 60.

 

Delivery: Slow and methodical rhythm with the feet around the rubber.  Picks up pace at balance point to a quicker rhythm.  Slight coil with the shoulders and hips at balance point with a crouched position.  Hands break near the belt with ball working quickly out of the glove.  Works from the center of the rubber with the stride foot landing directionally towards the target with good momentum down the slope.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the back end to a longer release across the chest.

FB: 79-82 mph,  slight arm side run with some sink at times.

CB: 61-64 mph, 1/7 shape with rolling shape and some depth.

CH: 70-71 mph, good hand speed with mostly straight and slight downward fade.

Kyle Mantooth 2B / RHP / Mustang, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 2B/RHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 185-pound athletic and muscular build.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a slightly open stance with a narrow base.  Hands set slightly above shoulder height with a flat barrel set and high back elbow.  Simple stride with foot getting down very early into the process with hands staying back.  Rotational upper body chest open at contact.  Back foot scissor-kick with a lot of turn at the core.  Line drive approach with level bat path and shows some current strength at contact.

Power: 89 mph exit velocity off the tee and 89 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-84 mph.  Shows the ability to change arm slots when the play dictates it with clean arm action and release.

Defense:  In the infield attacks the ball with shorter steps and a feel for rhythm working around the ball.  Pre sets the glove out in front of the body and fields with soft hands.  Works well laterally to both the glove hand and backhand sides.  Smooth slow roller technique.

Run: 6.96 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Quick paced rhythm with the feet starting in the center of the rubber and working towards the first base side.  Works to a high balance point with a front shoulder tilted up.  Strides slightly closed down the mound with a bit of cross-body action.  Sinks into the back side at balance point and gets good push off the rubber.  

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with hand working across the body at release.

FB: 84-86 mph, good arm side run with good hand speed.

SL: 70-71 mph, short break with 10/4 shape and late life.  Shows the ability to command it down and to the glove side.

Colyn Mcnair 3B / RHP / Blanchard , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 190-pound physical and athletic frame. 

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a slightly open stance with an upright posture with the upper body.  Hands get set slightly below shoulder height with a relaxed back elbow.  Short leg lift stride with even weight distribution between the feet at contact.  Slight waggle rhythm with the hands with barrel getting set in a flat position.  Quick hands through the zone with good overall bat speed.  Shows some current strength at contact and shows future power potential.  Does a good job of maintaining balance throughout the swing.

Power: 92 mph exit velocity off the tee and 89 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-70 mph.  ¾ arm slot with short arm action and release. 

Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with short and choppy steps.  Works shoulders and hips tight around the ball for good corner infield routes to the ball.  Fields the ball with soft hands and a feel for glove action.

Run: 7.50 runner in the 60.

Delivery: On the mound uses short steps around the rubber with smooth rhythm up to the balance point.  Quick pace out of the mid height balance point with hands and feet working in sync.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides slightly closed working the arm across the body.  Shows the ability to work in a slide step and maintaining rhythm out of the stretch.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with short arm action in the back and working across the body at release. 

FB: 78-81 mph, gets good arm side run and shows slight sinking action at times.

CB: 66-69 mph, loopy shape with early break.

CH: 69-76 mph, short fading action with good hand speed and sell.

Parker Means 2B / 3B / Yukon , OK / 2022

 

Positional Profile: 2B

Body: 5-foot-9, 150-pound developing frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and crouched posture.  Hands set slightly above shoulder height with vertical bat angle and relaxed back elbow.  Simple stride to the front toe.  Backside works linearly through the zone with strong turn.  Short and compact swing with hands working to the inside part of the ball.  Uses a line drive approach and works the middle of the field. 

Power: 85 mph exit velocity off the tee and 75 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-66 mph.  ¾ arm slot with short arm action.

Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with short and choppy steps working towards the target.  Field the ball out in front of the body with high waist bend.  Transfers the ball quickly out of the glove and shows a developing feel for glove action and soft hands. 

Run: 7.36 runner in the 60. 

Jake Mitchell SS / 2B / Pawnee, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: MIF/1B

Body: 6-foot-3, 190-pound long-limbed frame with the ability to add more strength to the frame.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture.  Hands get set at shoulder height with relaxed back elbow.  Rhythmic two-tap stride with weight leaning on the backside at contact.  Works the lower half underneath the ball to help with matching plane.  Has quick hands through the zone and good overall bat speed.  Slight uphill bath path and likes to work the ball up in the air.  Shows some present strength at contact and has future power potential. 

Power: 88 mph exit velocity off the tee and 91 exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  78-mph.  High ¾ arm slot with front shoulder tilted up and strong pull down on the arm swing.

Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with short and choppy steps working around the ball with rhythm.  Shows good feel for glove action and fielding the ball out in front of the body with soft hands.  At first base shows feel for footwork around the bag and does a good job of shoulders and hips rotating on throws to second.

Run: 6.92 runner in the 60.

Ethan Rone 3B / SS / Choctaw, OK / 2022

 

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot, 190-pound physical and athletic frame.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance with weight pre-loaded on the back side.  Hands get set at slightly above shoulder height with a high back elbow.  Short leg lift stride with weight leaning on the back side through contact.  Strong top-hand with good hand speed and bat speed metrics off the Blast sensor.  Uphill bat path and likes to play the ball up in the air.  Shows some current strength at contact with future power potential. 

Power: 91 mph exit velocity off the tee and 94 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-87 mph.  ¾ arm slot with good hand speed and hand working across the chest to control the height of the throw.

Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with short and choppy steps under control with momentum working towards the target.  Fields the ball with soft hands and a feel for glove action out in front of the body.  Shows good lateral agility and clean/quick transfers out of the glove.

Run: 7.36 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Utilizes short steps around the rubber to work up into the high balance point with the lead leg.  Rotates body off of back leg with short stride down the center of the rubber.  Slight shoulder tilt upwards and coil into the balance point.  Good body control throughout the delivery.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the back end and arm working across the body at release.  

FB: 83-86 mph, very heavy arm side run slight sinking action.

SL: 71-73 mph, tight spinning 9/3 shape with strong 2224 avg spin rate.

Blake Seefeldt 1B / RHP / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 1B/3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot-1, 220-pound physically impressive frame with current strength.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with an open stance and upright posture in the upper body.  Hands get set at shoulder height with relaxed back elbow.  Low leg lift stride back to neutral with good weight transfer into firm front side.  Event leading 81 mph bat speed and good hand speed metrics according to Blast sensor.  Also registers very strong rotational acceleration with very good strength at contact.  Maintains balance throughout the swing.  Has raw power with room for more in the future.

Power: 100 mph exit velocity off the tee and 103 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH. INF-84 mph.  ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the back and long release.

Defense: In the infield prefers to sit on the ball with the feet and use glove action to pick the short hop.  Fields the ball with a stiff glove and developing fielding position.

Run: 7.27 runner in the 60.  

 

Delivery: On the mound works exclusively out of the stretch.  Pitches from the first base side of the rubber and lands directionally down the center of the mound with good momentum headed to the plate.  Heavy lean into the back side at the balance point with good push off the rubber.  Hands break quickly out of the glove at the top of the balance point.  Rotates hard off the back leg. 

Arm Action: ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the backend with longer release. 

FB: 85-89 mph, strong arm side run with an average spin rate at 2062 rpm and good hand speed.

CB: 70-73 mph, short breaking action with good downward depth.

CH: Strong fading action to the arm side with slightly slower hand speed.

Farris Shawareb 1B / RHP / Putnam City North , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 1B/3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot-3, 210-pound physically mature and well-proportioned frame.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a slightly closed stance with an upright posture.  Hands get set at shoulder height with a relaxed back elbow.  Simple stride with slight weight transfer into firm front leg.  Shoulders and hips are open at contact point with a rotational upper body.  Registers quick hands through the zone and good bat speed metrics according to Blast sensor.  Strong rotational swing around the core.

Power: 83 mph exit velocity off the tee and 82 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-75 mph.  High ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the back end and long release.

Defense:  In the infield attacks the ball laterally with short shuffle style with the feet.  Shows a soft glove with hips and shoulders working in unison around the bag at first base.  Clean and quick transfers out of the glove.

Run: 7.95 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Works exclusively out of the stretch.  Tall and fall style down the mound with a high balance point.  Hands break early out of the glove at the top of the leg lift down around the belt.  Works out of the center of the rubber with stride foot landing directionally down the center of the mound with good momentum towards the plate.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a circular arm path and clean arm action.

FB: 78-80 mph, slight arm side run with good extension and reach down the mound.

CB: 60-63 mph, loopy and early break with a slower hand speed and developing spin. 

Alejandro Serna SS / RHP / Southeast , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: SS/RHP

Body: 5-foot-10, 135-pound lean and developing frame.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a slightly open stance and athletic posture.  Hands get set slightly below shoulder height with a flat barrel set.  Uses a short two-tap stride with weight getting onto the front foot at contact.  Flat bat path with rotational upper body.  Bat speed and hand strength are developing tools.

Power: 74 mph exit velocity off the tee and 72 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-67 mph.  Over the top arm slot with long arm action.

Defense: In the infield attacks the ball straight on with short and choppy steps.  Shows a developing feel for glove action out in front of the body and fields the ball with soft hands. 

Run: 7.77 runner in the 60.

Cody Sorrells 3B / RHP / Deer Creek, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot-1, 170-pound lean and athletic frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with an open and narrow stance with an upright posture.  Hands get set at shoulder height with a relaxed back elbow.  Utilizes a two-tap stride to get back to neutral.  Slow load into a slight weight transfer into the back side.  Hands work quickly through the zone and stays behind the ball well.  Slight uphill bat path and likes to work the ball up in the air.  Strong rotation with good extension with the hands.

Power: 86 mph exit velocity off the tee and 86 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-80 mph.  High ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the back and longer release.

Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with longer and slower steps to work around the ball towards the target.  Fields the ball out in front of the body with a developing feel for glove action and soft hands.  Shows a good slow roller technique with good rhythm and clean transfer out of the glove.

Run: 6.75 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Rocker style delivery with weight working east/west into a high balance point.  Slight coil with shoulders and hips at balance point slight push off the rubber.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and lands directionally down the center of the mound with good momentum headed towards the plate.  Hands work tight to the body with hand break low around the belt.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with clean arm action on the backend and heavy recoil at release.

FB: 79-84 mph, shows good command and has heavy arm side run at times.

CB: 66-67 mph, large horizontal movements with big shape and good average spin metrics (2323 avg RPM).

Micah Simmons SS / RHP / Oklahoma Christian , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: SS/RHP

Body: 6-foot-1, 170-pound long and lean frame with room for added strength in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance with an athletic posture.  Hands get set at shoulder height with a relaxed back elbow.  Simple stride with good weight transfer to firm front leg.  Rhythmic swing with good hand separation.  Level bat path with line drive approach.  Does a good job of maintaining balance throughout the swing.

Power: 83 mph exit velocity off the tee and 82 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-79 mph.  ¾ arm slot with clean arm action and hand working across the body.

Defense: In the infield works smoothly around the ball with good rhythm with the feet.  Shows a feel for glove action and fielding the ball with soft hands.  Does a good job of controlling the body throughout the fielding process and has clean/quick transfers out of the glove.

Run: 7.33 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Works exclusively from the stretch on the mound.  Quick paced and athletic delivery with a high balance point.  Sinks into the back side at balance point with good push off the rubber.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the mound towards the plate.  Rotates hard off the plant leg at release point.  Slight shoulder tilt with a low front side glove.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with clean arm action and short release.

FB: 80-84 mph, mostly straight action with some slight tilt at the bottom of the zone.

SL: 75-76 mph, good downward depth with tight shape and late life.

 

Brayden States OF / SS / Kingfisher , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: OF/MIF

Body: 5-foot-9, 160-pound lean and athletic frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a slightly open stance with weight pre-shifted to the back side.  Hands get set quietly into position at shoulder height.  Simple stride to neutral with weight shifted on the back side at contact.  Hands work quickly through the zone with a slight uphill bat path.  Looks to get the ball up in the air and has shows some strength at contact in the hands.  Gets good upper body lean to allow hands to work through the zone.

Power: 86 mph exit velocity off the tee and 86 mph exit velocity during BP. 

Arm: RH.  OF-73 mph.  INF-70 mph.  In the outfield shows a long arm action on the back side with a high/quick release from a ¾ arm slot.  In the infield shows a high ¾ arm slot with a very short arm action on the back side and quick release.

Defense: In the outfield takes aggressive routes to the ball with longer strides.  Prefers to make catch with glove over the arm side shoulder.  Utilizes a quick shuffle crow hop step.  In the infield attacks the ball with short and choppy feet.  Fields the ball out in front of the body with a stiff glove action.  Very quick transfers out of the glove.  Shows good range to both glove and back hand sides.  

Run: 6.99 runner in the 60.

Trey Wilkinson 1B / Coalgate , OK / 2022

Body: 5-foot-10, 185-pound stout frame with strong lower half.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a neutral stance and wide base.  Hands are set at shoulder height with flat barrel set and upright posture in the upper body.  Simple lift and replace stride with heavy weight shift to a firm front side.  Stiff arm bar action with hands working hard to get back to the inside part of the ball.  Level bat path and line drive approach.  Registers quick hands through the zone with strong rotational acceleration numbers according to Blast sensor.

Power: 84 mph exit velocity off the tee and 86 mph exit velocity in BP.

Arm: RH.  INF-70 mph.  ¾ arm slot with clean arm action and hand working across the chest to control height of throw.

Defense: In the infield shows a developing feel for routes working around the ball.  Fields the ball out in front with soft hands and a feel for glove action.  Clean/quick transfers out of the glove with good sync with the feet.

Body: 6-foot-2, 188-pound athletic and projectable frame with room for added strength and size in the future.  

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with an open stance and upright posture.  Hands work below shoulder height and tight to the chest.  Simple stride to neutral stance with even weight distribution between feet.  Shows good overall hand speed and bat speed metrics according to the Blast sensor.  Flat bat path with hands working level through the zone.  Quick rhythm in the swing with hands working quickly into the slot with the front foot headed forward.  

Power: 85 mph exit velocity off the tee and 86 mph exit velocity during BP.

Arm: RH.  OF-77 mph.  INF-73 mph.  In the outfield shows a high ¾ am slot with stiff arm action on the backside and quick release.  In the infield shows a ¾ arm slot with a shorter arm action and high release point.  

Defense: In the outfield attacks the ball with short and choppy steps when working to get underneath the ball.  Tends to catch the ball lower on the body but does get good momentum into the throw.  Shows good glove action on groundballs.  In the infield attacks the ball with short and choppy steps working side to side to get momentum towards the target.  Fields the ball with a developing feel for glove action with clean transfers out of the glove.
