2019 Future Game Frenzy - Toronto: Scouting Notes

Chris Kemlo and PBR Ontario Staff
PBR Ontario Director of Scouting

We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ontario's Future Game Frenzy - Toronto. This was a great opportunity for 2021-2022 prospects to be identified before season, create and update their profiles, as well see where they stack up with their peers. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

2019 Future Game Frenzy - Toronto: Scouting Notes

J.J. Dutton SS / OF / Forest Hill, ON / 2021

Report: Dutton, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound two-way player, was a standout at Future Game Frenzy. He started the day off running a 6.82 60 yard dash, the top time of the day. In the outfield, the ball jumped out of the hand with carry, maxing out at 90 mph on this day. His actions in the infield are raw, and with his arm strength and speed, his ability plays better in the outfield. He put together a couple of good rounds at the plate; it’s a line-drive swing with an average launch angle of 13.2. He looks to gain ground and get the bat head out front with a consistent pull-side launch direction. He didn’t pitch on this day, but he has the makings of pitching at the next level as well.
