5 Uncommitted RHP's You Need To Know

As we get close to wrapping up 2018 and put our focus into the new year, there are still all kinds of talented uncommitted seniors in the 2019 grad class here in Ontario.

With our 19’ rankings growing over to 200 players, there is currently 50+ players who have committed, leaving all kinds of untapped talent and diamonds in the rough available for college coaches to pounce on.

We take a look at five right-handers who all find themselves in the top 45 ranked players in Ontario, with present stuff, fastballs in the mid-to upper 80’s and room for all to mature, continue to develop and big winters.

Noah LaLonde RHP / Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute, ON / 2019

In a memorable summer for the Ontario Yankees right-handed pitcher, it concluded with an invite to the Canadian Junior National Team’s fall instructional league roster. The righty has a strong base and a compact 5-foot-11, 168-pound frame with athleticism that’s shown in the before in the outfield. He’s been up to 89 mph, one of the top velo’s for a member of his class, and has shown improvements throwing his secondary offerings. LaLonde’s breaking stuff will need to continue to develop in order for him to take the next step, but the fastball will always be his best pitch. LaLonde’s an interesting arm who has refining to do but could be a good late get for a school with his present strength, athleticism and his upside.
