On Monday, April 10th, the PBR Ontario staff returned to The Athlete Matrix facility in Mississauga to host our second session of the Future Games Trials. We had roughly 70 players from the 2025 and 2026 classes in attendance for the final indoor Future Games Trials before players begin heading outdoors for live-game action.
The event gave our staff a look at some of the top uncommitted players in those classes who are all vying for a spot on Canada's team at this summer's Future Games at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Georgia. It was a talented roster with a ton of impressive performances on both sides of the ball and we continue to break down some of the standout players below with our second post-event leaderboard.
At this event, we retrieved a significant amount of data on each player including: 30-yard times, batting practice measured by TrackMan, catcher pop-times and velocity, outfield evaluation and velocity, infield evaluation and velocity and pitcher bullpens analyzed and assessed by TrackMan. We pride ourselves on utilizing the latest technology in the game to provide the most accurate data for both the player and those recruiting/evaluating the player.
