Northern Games Quick Hits I

On Wednesday, June 8th our staff made the trip out to Sudbury to host another Northern Games from the beautiful Terry Fox Sports Complex. The Northern Games allows our staff a chance to get a look at players up North who may not have the chance to attend events in the GTA.
Not only did we get our eyes on those players but several others who made the trip as well. Our post-event coverage continues below as PBR Ontario Scout, Josh Arce, breaks down three players who got the check mark in his notebook.

Aidan George 3B / OF / CASS, ON / 2025Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 2
George has continued to impress our staff this season as his left-handed bat was on display once again at the Northern Games. Standing 6-foot, 180-pounds, George creates leverage and gets the ball in the air and drives the baseball for power to the pull side. During live AB’s, he showed some bat-to-ball skills, staying on outside pitches to drive them to LCF. George has a chance to be alright, flashing the hit and power this past Wednesday. No doubt George is one of the top bats in Ontario’s 2025 class.

Aidan Uylenbroek OF / RHP / Eastview Secondary School, ON / 2025Ulynbroek immediately stood out when he walked into the ballpark at the Northern Games this past Wednesday standing 6-foot-3, 170 pounds. Ulynbroek had a nice round of BP, hitting multiple deep fly balls to LF. During live AB’s Ulynbroek had multiple base knocks, showcasing his hit tool. Defensively, Ulynbroek was impressive as he was fielding his position, making several catches in the gaps. Once his frame fills out, Ulynbroek has a chance to be a good one in the 2025 class.

Nolan Jackson SS / RHP / Blessed Trinity, ON / 2025Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 3
Jackson is a tooled out player from the Ontario Royals that showed out at the Northern Games in Sudbury. Jackson was impressive in the field with athletic actions and good footwork at SS with a 82 mph velo across the diamond. The arm will only continue to get stronger as he matures. At the plate, Jackson uses the whole field finishing with extension through the zone to drive the ball gap to gap. During live AB’s, Jackson was a hit machine hitting liners up the middle and to his pull side. Jackson looks the part on the field and has an athletic build, he will be a close follow this summer and is one of the top athletes in the 2025 class in Ontario.
