Top 2016 Uncommitted Left-Handed Pitchers

Matt Jones, LHP, Sinclair Secondary
Scouting Report: Tall, lean, projectable left-hander listed at 6-foot-4, 170-pounds. Very deceptive, hides ball well in delivery. At times will rush through delivery causing ball to stay up and flatten out, loses timing and falls off. Fastball works in the low-80s and has been up to 84 mph. Typically keeps ball down in zone, displays run when he gets on top and works downhill. Feel for breaking ball, creates good rotation and is on top with good late action. Changeup is improving, there is feel there. When all three pitches is working he is tough to beat. Maturity and strength issues will play big part for Jones and his development.
