Campbell Ellis LHP / 1B / Christ the King, ON / 2020

Report: VCU commit, Campbell Ellis showed well in live BP on the weekend. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound left-hander, did his thing, pounding the zone with three pitches, including a breaking ball, which displayed sweeping action. It’s a clean delivery that works with sync; he hides the ball and works short outback. There’s polish and pitchability, which allows him to maximize use out of his stuff. Ellis has all the makings of being a solid college starting pitcher.

Colin Cymbalista C / 1B / St Mary Catholic Secondary School, ON / 2022

Report: Cymbalista, a ‘22 catcher, has made continued improvements to his game. Behind the plate, there’s quickness to his feet and his glove-hand transfer. He gets off throws with plenty of arm strength for the position. The receiving skills and movements around the dish are sound, and he is a definite catcher at the next level. At the plate, the bat works short and direct with a fluid path, it’s a line-drive stroke with some power potential. There’s two-way ability for Cymbalista, and he’ll be a good follow for schools.

Jakob Cellupica SS / 3B / Bill Crothers, ON / 2021

Report: An uncommitted ‘21, Cellupica is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound infielder. In the infield, the actions are clean, the hands work with a quick transfer, and the arm is short with a quick release and accurate throws. He can play on either side of second, and profiles in the infield. At the plate, it’s a bat-to-ball oriented swing with strength. He’ll use the whole field with solid contact, occasional power, but it's not his game. Cellupica is a solid all-around player who could be a contributing piece for a club at the next level.

Zach Marriott 3B / SS / St. Thomas Aquinas, ON / 2020

Report: Marriott, a Hendrix College commit, has continued to get better, and it showed on the weekend. The infield actions have been refined, and he is more than capable of staying on the dirt in college. It’s quieter at the plate, and the simplified movements allow him to get barrel to ball better. There’s athleticism, and it’s a body that could add strength and see continued progressions.

Elijha Hammill SS / 2B / Holy Trinity, ON / 2021

Report: We got a look at Hammill, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound Utah commit over the weekend as well. From both sides of the plate, Hammill put together good swings. The bat speed and strength were on display as he left the yard righty and lefty. It's a compact swing with twitchy movements; there's going to be power in his game. Getting a glimpse of the actions in the infield, the hands worked, and although he didn't air it out, the arm played at short. The 2nd ranked player in Ontario, and 284th overall, Hammill is one to follow closely over the next year.

Jordan Woods LHP / NA, ON / 2022

Report: 2022 left-hander Jordan Woods impressed during his outing on Sunday. It’s a projectable body with some present strength in the frame anchoring the delivery. The arm works short outback with repeatability and strike-throwing ability. He sat 81-83, working with downward tilt, while his curveball displayed shape and bite, and has the makings of being a strikeout offering for him. There’s a lot to like with the build and stuff, and with refining, there’s plenty of upside.
