Ontario Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #9 Miles Gordon

Miles Gordon#10 Miles Gordon, OF, 2015 (Cincinnati Reds 4th Round)
Background: The past year and a half most likely has flew by for the 6-foot-1, 185-pound athletic outfielder as he turned himself with a player who had tools and potential in 2014 to one of the best prospects in the entire country. Gordon is a plus defender with plus speed, and has the ability to be a true centerfielder. The left-handed hitter was regularly between a 6.50 - 6.60 in his 60-yard runs, and physically you could see him getting stronger over time and really excited about what he could become. Gordon was one of Ontario’s early signs as he committed to University of San Francisco. Excited as they must of been to get that type of player, it didn’t last long as Gordon never stepped foot on campus as he was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 4th round, 115th overall. Gordon was ranked as our number three prospect basically since the day we went live with our rankings, and the smooth outfielder looks to continue what everyone liked so much about him as he begins his journey through professional baseball and hopefully to a long, eventful career in the big leagues.

Minor League Update: Gordon suited up for 31 games in the Arizona Rookie League with Cincinnati as he played 19 games in centre and 11 in left field. He finished with a .220 average, four doubles and three triples, to go along with 26 hits,12 RBIs, and five stolen bases. Gordon is an exciting and fun player to watch, and we wish him the best here at PBR Ontario.
