PBR Atlantic Announcement

It is with great pleasure that Prep Baseball Report Canada brings to you an extension of our family and the announcement of PBR Atlantic in the east of Canada.

PBR Atlantic will be run and overseen by two members who have grassroots in the community and know the baseball landscape as well as anybody. We are proud to welcome Kevin Richardson and Patrick Westhaver to the PBR Family.

Patrick is originally from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia and has been involved heavily with Baseball Nova Scotia as early as 2010. He was a member of the Nova Scotia gold medal squad at the 2019 Canada Cup, following up his gold medal as a member of the Ontario staff in 2018.

Patrick, a Baseball Canada Coach Developer and Evaluator since 2015, now resides in Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, and is the right person to head up PBR Atlantic, along with Richardson to bring opportunity for players out east and provide exposure along the way as players continue to work and strive for their goals.

Kevin Richardson, originally from Riverview New Brunswick, along with Westhaver will oversee PBR Atlantic. Kevin’s baseball roots are firmly entrenched in Eastern Canada and his love and passion for developing and providing opportunities for local players is easy to see. A coach with Baseball Nova Scotia since 2010, capped off his tenure with the programs with the first ever gold medal for Nova Scotia at the 2019 Canada Cup.  Richardson understands the lay of the land and will be an integral part of PBR Atlantic with his knowledge of players, programs and coaches.

The mission of the Prep Baseball Report is to scout and promote amateur and collegiate baseball to ultimately allow players to live out their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. With more than 150 scouts, PBR has the largest baseball scouting infrastructure across all levels of amateur baseball in North America. PBR is the top resource for amateur baseball in each province it covers, through a variety of events and multimedia platforms. The multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in North America.

PBR’s goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each province. PBR is currently in 41 states and Canada, each with a scouting director that focuses on the amateur talent in their respective territory. The Prep Baseball Report’s hyper-local focus is augmented by its national scouting staff that focuses on the top national prospects in all prep classes. More than 900 colleges and pro teams subscribe to the PBR services.

PBR Atlantic is excited to announce its first event on August 7th, 2020, in partnership with Premier Sports Academy in St.John’s NL. This open showcase camp is available to players across the Atlantic that are 14U or older. For further information, please CLICK HERE.

With both Patrick and Kevin at the forefront, we have no doubt that PBR Atlantic is in the right hands as both have a decorated coaching history, and continue to be advocates for players on the east coast of Canada.

Welcome both Kevin and Patrick, along with Eastern Canada to the PBR Canada Family. Please stay connected as more news and events are announced shortly for the fall of 2020.
