As the ProCase is right around the corner, the roster is set and the talent is impressive for this year’s event. Dan Lang Field will host players from the Toronto Mets, Ontario Blue Jays, Fieldhouse Pirates, Ontario Terriers, Great Lake Canadians, Stoufville Yankees, Ontario Royals and ABC Académie. These ballplayers have a chance to start the spring off with success and raise their stock heading into the summer. Here is a breakdown of the Great Lake Canadians attendees.

Owen Diodati C / 1B / A.N. Myer , ON / 2019

Report: Canadian Junior National Team Member, Alabama recruit, #2 ranked 2019 prospect, will be one of the closely watched prospects at the ProCase. Large, broad-shouldered 6-foot-2, 210-pound build with strength evident throughout. Has seen time both behind the plate, left-field,  and at first base. Arm strength is his best tool defensively, has been up to 81 mph out of the crouch. His rounds in the cage are impressive, hands work short to and long through the zone with no problem getting out front, flat plane, high finish, strong lower half gives him stability, baseball to jumps off of his bat. In a recent trip with the Canadian Junior National Team, he tapped into his power, driving both a triple and double during the week. Diodati looks to get his spring off to a strong start, just a couple weeks before the June draft.

Eric Martin OF / RHP / St. Mary's , ON / 2019

Report: Martin had one of the stronger trips with the National team, hitting .294/.400/.271 with three doubles. He's 6-foot-5, 205-pound outfielder, athletic frame, will add strength and fill out. 6.93 runner, 89 mph arm strength from the outfield, profiles as a corner outfielder at the next level, right-field his best spot. Controlled left-handed swing, starts wide and relaxed with his hands, has shown the ability to get his foot down and keep his head on the ball, looks to line the ball to the gaps. Took some big cuts on opening weekend of CPBL league, he will be a power threat at some point and can see him going off in 2019 offensively. He is coming into the ProCase with a great start to his year and will look to continue that on the 8th.

Tyler Hinrikus 3B / SS / Resurrection Catholic , ON / 2020

Report:Ball State recruit, #1 ranked third-baseman in class. Strong 6-foot-2, 200-pound athletic frame. 6.93 runner, clean movements in the infield, hands work out front, agile side-to-side, has been up to 85 mph across the infield. Bat plays as he drives forward and lets his strength go to work, smooth line-drive swing, comfort going the other way, while also being able to drive a pitch to the pull-side. He is consistent with his approach and mechanically sound. The 2020 prospect looks to be a quality watch when the ProCase comes around the corner.
