Team Canada PBR Future Games Update
We wanted to provide you with an update regarding the 2020 PBR Future Games.
The decision has been made to withdraw our PBR Canadian Team from the 2020 PBR Future Games, held every year at our Lakepoint complex in Georgia.
As an organization, PBR Canada strives to ensure the safety and security of all players. Due to the pandemic, there are multiple factors that contributed to this decision.
The fact of us not being unable to hold tryouts and providing players with equal opportunity to earn a position on the 2020 PBR Team Canada Roster, as well air travel between the Canada-U.S. border is being discouraged, booking accommodations is posing unique challenges, self quarantine for players and parents upon return into Canada are just a few of the factors that contributed to our decision.
The mission of the PBR Canada is to scout and promote amateur baseball and even with the challenges faced by our young players this year, our team is working actively to help athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level.
Although we won’t be travelling South this year, stay tuned as we work to provide you with a unique experience in the coming weeks for those in the 2022 and 2023 grad years.
It has always been about the players first, and it always will be.
