The Hotlist: What To Watch For In 2015

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

Last week, we looked at some of the top stories from 2014. We’re a week into 2015 and have plenty to look forward to this year. Below are storylines to follow in the Prep Baseball Report coverage area.

AR: The Race For The 7A State Title
The last decade has essentially been a two-team race with Fayetteville HS or Bryant HS winning eight out of the last 10 state titles. Fayetteville is the most talented group on paper for 2015 with six Division I signees and a talented group of underclassmen. Bryant is defending its 2014 title with a deep pitching staff including RHP Blaine Knight—an Arkansas recruit and last year’s state tournament MVP. But Fayetteville and Bryant could be challenged by the likes of Heritage HS and Har-Ber HS. Heritage has a deep pitching staff with LHP Kacey Murphy, LHP Ty Harris, and RHP Kyle Lamproe. Har-Ber has a deep senior class that could provide enough offense to carry them through the tournament.
