Ontario Insider: Uncommitted Seniors To Watch In 2018

Kurt Dillon RHP / ABC Baseball Academy / 2018

Background: A projectable and strong right-handed pitcher with room to add size and strength to an already imposing mound presence. Especially impressing at last year’s PBR Top Prospect Games in Scarborough, the 6-foot-4 Dillon works effectively downhill from a ¾ arm slot, with a fastball that tops out at 87 mph with late sinking action down and in. Due to his delivery and clean arm actions, Dillon creates a difficult angle for hitters. The right-hander’s curveball comes out at the same arm slot as his fastball with a 12/6 shape and sits between 69-72 while he shows a good feel for his changeup as well as more velocity left in the tank. Dillon is an arm who isn’t getting nearly enough attention as he warrants and has the potential of turning himself into one of the top pitchers in the 2018 class. He has recently made the switch to play in Quebec with the ever popular and talented ABC Academy. We expect him to do well and find a good fit for post-secondary sooner than later.
