The 2025 Winter Showcase circuit is quickly approaching as we're now almost one week out from the first of the season with the Canadian College & University Showcase on February 8th at The Yard Athletic Centre in Cambridge, Ontario. We have 71 players on tap for the annual event that allows Colleges and Universities in Ontario to get a look an in-person look at players interested in playing collegiate baseball within the province or country.

Every year the event serves as the first showcase of the season so it gives players time to enroll for the fall semester as they begin to connect with the college programs. The group coming up will be the largest we've ever had for this event and all players will run through a pro-style workout utilizing our tech partners TrackMan and VALD Performance infront of 10 OCAA schools and 3 OUA schools, as well as the University of Michigan Dearborn (NAIA) and Genesee Community College (NJCAA) both from the U.S.

Below, our staff breaks down 13 players to know ahead of the event with notes and video.

2025 PLAYERS TO FOLLOW

Adam Cameron RHP / 3B / Abbey Park High School, ON / 2025

Cameron, a 6-foot-4, 228-pound right-hander will be one of the premiere arms in attendance at the event. Carries a fastball in the mid-80s that we’ve had up to 87.8mph on the TrackMan and couples it with a slider and changeup. Cameron should have plenty of eyes on him when he takes the mound on February 8th.

Jacob Doucette OF / Canisius HS, ON / 2025

Left-handed hitting outfielder who moves well in the outfield and on the bases (6.97 in July). Doucette started to find some extra-base power this past summer/fall and showed some arm strength at the Toronto Summer ID with an 85mph arm in the outfield.

Drew Jones OF / Garth Webb Secondary School, ON / 2025

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound outfielder was with us in December at the Toronto Holiday Hitters Showcase and generated a peak exit velocity of 90.7mph, as well as a top distance at the event with a 350ft swing.

Nathan Kaczmarek RHP / 3B / Maxwell Heights , ON / 2025

Kaczmarek will be another top player at the event and comes with size at 6-foot-3, 220-pounds. He’s stood out on the mound where he sat 82-84mph on the TrackMan last April and is able to generate loud swings when he finds the barrel at the dish.

Tanner Luker RHP / OF / Grand River Collegiate, ON / 2025

Luker will be another interesting arm to take the mound at the event. Athletic look at 6-foot, 175-pounds and we saw him sit 82-83 T84 last April on the TrackMan, along with a sweeping slider.

Hudson Marshall OF / CCVI, ON / 2025

Marshall put together a strong summer for the Ontario Nationals. 5-foot-11, 175-pound outfielder who was finding the gaps throughout the summer for extra-bases. Generated 93.7mph exit velocity and 84mph outfield throws at the Future Games Trials last April.

Jack Rossetti SS / 3B / Humberside Collegiate , ON / 2025

Rossetti is one of the more interesting infielders attending the event and comes with an athletic look at 6-foot, 185-pounds. The left-handed hitter swung the bat well throughout the summer with the ability to hit to all fields.

2026 PLAYERS TO WATCH

J.S. Deacon SS / 3B / Southwood, ON / 2026

Deacon was one of the top performing 2026 prospects at the Midwestern Ontario Bearcats and the overall metrics should continue trending upwards as the 6-foot-3, 185-pound. The Bearcats shortstop had an exit velocity of 88.0mph, 75mph across the diamond and ran a 7.27s.

Rohan Hoffman OF / RHP / John F. Ross, ON / 2026

Still just a 2026, Hoffman put together a quality and consistent round of BP from the right-side at the Midwestern Ontario Bearcats Scout Day in September. 6-foot-2, 153-pounds the last time we saw him and it will be interesting to see if he’s added some strength over the winter. Ran a 7.28 and was up to 78mph in September.

Maxwell Owen OF / RHP / Maple Ridge Elementary School, ON / 2026

Owen was one of the top performing upperclassmen at the Barrie Baycats Scout Day in September and the arm strength was the best tool with 83mph arm in the outfield and 79-81 T82 on the mound.

Ethan Parks RHP / 1B / Neil McNeil High School, ON / 2026

Parks is a 2026 two-way talent who should draw some attention at the event. Big, physical frame at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds that allows him to make a big impact when he finds the barrel. Has also stood on the mound in the past and our staff is interested to see where his game is at.

John Robinson 3B / RHP / Neil McNeil High School, ON / 2026

John Robinson will be another interested 2026 prospect at the event and represented Canada at the 2023 Junior Future Games in Atlanta. 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame and offensive game has really trended upwards over the past year. 77th-ranked 2026 in Ontario and has a chance to put up some of the better metrics at the event.

Cullen Rooney C / RHP / Normandy, OH / 2026

Rooney will be joining us all the way from Ohio and the 2026 grad recently put up pop-times of 2.01-2.03 with a 74mph arm at the Northern Ohio Preseason All-State.
