George Boutris 2B / OF / Ontario Online School, ON / 2028Boutris put together a strong day last weekend, featuring a long, wiry 6’2”, 170-pound frame with room to fill. The Yankees product showed strong defensive actions & should be able to stick up the middle long-term. Offensively, the balanced swing and advanced bat-to-ball skills worked well, producing a peak exit velocity of 89.3 mph, good for a peak distance of 300ft (avg. 268ft). Overall, it’s a controlled offensive approach and with added strength there’s potential for more impact in the future. Name to keep tabs on in this Ontario ‘26 class as he continues to progress.

INF George Boutris
2026, @OntarioYankees @PB_Uncommitted

6-foot-2, 175-pounds.

Boutris put together a strong showing on Saturday and continues to showcase offensive value. Positionally, Luker impressed with a peak exit velocity of 94.6 mph and an outfield velocity of 89 mph, both some of the stronger marks on the day. Overall, it was a strong showing, and he profiles as a potential impact two-way at the Canadian collegiate level.

RHP/OF Tanner Luker
2025, Valdez Baseball Academy @PB_Uncommitted

6-foot, 175-pounds.

Tanner had one of the better showings this afternoon. Taylor Walter Atkinson SS / Grey Highlands Secondary School, ON / 2026Taylor has made large strides since we last saw him, adding significant strength and size. His peak exit velocity jumped to 93.2 mph, a ten-mile-per-hour increase from last fall’s Bearcats Scout Day. At 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, there’s twitch and bat speed to work with moving forward as the swing continues to clean up. The glove continues to develop as strength and athleticism gains factor in. With continued mechanical refinement, Atkinson has the potential to become an impact bat moving forward, and is a name to keep an eye on as he develops further.

INF Taylor Walter Atkinson
2026, @mobearcats @PB_Uncommitted

5-foot-11, 155-pounds.

Atkinson presented the glove well defensively and displayed some loud impact throughout his rounds.

Max EV - 93.2 mph#CanCollege25🇨🇦 pic.twitter.com/FTPqysm7ih
— Prep Baseball Ontario (@PrepBaseballON) February 9, 2025
 |

Cullen Rooney C / RHP / Normandy, OH / 2026Rooney impressed with one of the stronger performances amongst catchers in attendance. The American / Canadian dual-citizen recorded a peak exit velocity of 93.0mph and showcased a pop time of 2.03 seconds with a catcher velocity of 76 mph. Fluid transfer and a quick release that make Cullen look the part of a plus defender at the next level. It’s an athletic look at the dish with efficient bat path and the tendency to spray the ball to all parts of the field. Cullen should be a name for Canadian coaches to keep tabs on over the next few years as he continues to grow and refine the game.

C Cullen Rooney
2026, @InvadersBSB @PrepBaseballOH

Cullen joined us all the way from Ohio on Saturday and didn’t disappoint.

The 🇨🇦🇺🇸 dual-citizen put together one of the stronger defensive showings among catchers in attendance & doubled down w/ 2️⃣ impressive BP rounds.… pic.twitter.com/jYj6T2I9sl
— Brendan Mahood (@brendanmahood_) February 10, 2025
 |

The hit tool has shown in game repetitively and added physicality looks to have added significant offensive value for Carter. It’s a direct, repeatable swing that continues to impress evaluators. Cat-like defender up the middle, quick lateral mover and has the actions to stick at shortstop in the long-term, with potential to be an impact defender at the next level.

SS/RHP Carter O’Connor
2027, @NatsOnt
5-10/155lbs

Direct & synced up swing from the right side, that works on a line and has more to come as he continues to fill out.

Clean mover that showed upside with the glove, as well.

Max EV - 89.9mph@CarterOCon35347 | @PrepBaseballON pic.twitter.com/gHbdz4YDnw
— Phillip Jankulovski (@PhilJankulovski) February 10, 2025
 |
