On Friday, February 14th, the Prep Baseball Ontario staff hosted it's second event of the 2025 season with the Sold Out Mississauga Preseason Invite at The Athlete Turf Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario, home of the Ontario Blue Jays.

This event featured 80+ prospects in the 2025 - 2028 classes and it was a strong group to open up three straight sold-out events in Ontario that will feature some of the top players in their respective classes as players are competing for roster spots on Canada/Ontario's National Team's at events such as the Future Games, Senior Future Games, West Coast Games, New York State Games, NorthEast Senior Games and the Best of the West.

All player ran through a full workout that included batting practice and bullpens captured on our TrackMan, as well as 30-yard springs captured by VALD Performance. Over the next several days we'll be highlighting top performers from the event within our post-event analysis. Stay locked into our social media channels over the next several days as we continue to push out video, leaderboards and more.

Earlier this week, we broke down the top measurable data performers from the event with our Statistical Analysis, Pitching Data Dive and Positional Data Dive articles. Now, we conclude our post-event coverage within this Hitting Data Dive article as we take a look at the top Trackman hitting data:

‘26 RHP/SS Logan Cummins (Ontario Giants/Uncommitted): Cummins was the top prospect in attendance at the event and looked the part as he was a top performer in all areas of the showcase. The 6-foot-1, 166-pound right-hander is a top uncommitted arm in the country and it was a loud bullpen with plenty of strikes that saw the fastball sitting 89-90 T90.9. He paired the fastball with a slider at 73-75mph and changeup at 79-81mph. The Ontario Giants prospect had some of the best actions during the infield portion and his 89mph throws were 2nd-best. At the plate, Cummins generated a peak exit velocity of 94.1mph and peak distance of 356ft.

‘25 RHP/SS Nolan Jackson (Ontario Royals/Seattle): Nolan Jackson was another top performing two-way at the event and the Seattle commit led the way as the top senior at the event. His athleticism and overall movements were among the best at the event as he separated himself during each portion of the event. Undersized at 5-foot-9, 165-pounds but its a lean frame with quick-twitch muscles and first grabs your attention on the mound with a fastball sitting 88-89 T89.3. Also featured a slider at 75-76mph, curveball at 75-76mph and changeup at 81-83mph with plenty of strikes throughout his bullpen. Jackson also had the top infield velocity at 92mph and tied for the 2nd-best exit velocity at 98.6mph.

‘25/26 RHP Arthur Gonthier (Ontario Royals/Uncommitted): Gonthier, a NY State Games alum, put together one of the more intriguing bullpens on the day and is a name college coaches need to know heading into the summer as a 6-foot-4, 190-pound uncommitted arm looking for a home in the fall of 2026. The Ontario Royals right-hander works downhill with a fastball that sat 86-88mph and was throwing it for strikes throughout. The secondary stuff includes a sweeping slider at 70-73mph and splitter at 80-82mph. Still has some feel to come for secondary stuff but the pitches work and it’s an intriguing overall package that continues to generate some buzz heading into the spring.

‘26 SS/RHP Lucas Cordeiro (Etobicoke Rangers/Uncommitted): Cordeiro has really developed well with the bat over the past year and put together one of the top overall performances as he continues to flash upside on both sides of the game. Started his day with two of the loudest rounds of BP at the event and the top exit velocity at 99.6mph. The right-handed swing is looking looser and more violent, generating average EV’s above 90mph and a top distance of 359ft. The Etobicoke Rangers two-way sat 84-85 T86 on the mound and showed feel for his secondary stuff with a curveball at 74-76mph and a changeup at 77-79mph. A name college coaches from all levels should take a look at this summer throughout the summer tournament scene.

‘26 RHP Josh Hill (Titans Baseball/Uncommitted): Hill captures your attention as soon as he comes through the door with his towering and physical 6-foot-9, 270-pound frame. The Titans Baseball product has developed really well on the mound since we saw him last preseason as his operation is looking far more synced up and has him sitting 84-85 T86 with the fastball, missing up at times with the pitch. The curveball at 68-70mph is short and tight with some late downward action, along with feel for a changeup at 73-74mph. Still plenty of development to come but so much to work with here and will be an arm our staff is eager to see how it translates to game situations.

‘26 RHP Evan Wallace (Fieldhouse Pirates/Uncommitted): RHP Evan Wallace was one of the more intriguing prospects to grace the mound during the Mississauga Preseason Invite and although he didn’t light up the radar gun like some other arms, he showed his pitchability and flashed what’s to come in his projectable profile. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-hander sat 83-84 T85 with feel for the strike zone and featured a trio of offspeed pitches with a slider, changeup and splitter. One of the better arms in Ontario’s 2026 class and should really start creating some buzz throughout the summer.

‘26 OF Alex Wallace (Fieldhouse Pirates/Uncommitted): OF Alex Wallace first grabbed our attention at the Holiday Hitters Showcase in December and was now able to showcase the rest of his game. 6-foot-1, 170-pound with strength and filling out to come and it’s still the bat that carries the impact right now. The left-handed hitter has some power potential as he continues to mature and generated a 96.1mph exit velocity and 336ft distance. Intriguing positional prospect to follow in Fieldhouse’s 2026 class and a name to keep an eye on as a newcomer in our updated rankings in March.

‘26 C Myles Hazen (Barrie Baycats/Uncommitted): Hazen may have been the strongest kid at the event with an uber physical frame at 6-foot-2, 230-pounds. The Barrie Baycats product continues to generate some quality numbers behind the plate and at the dish and both were amongst the best once again. The right-handed hitter was elevating throughout his round with a peak exit velocity of 98.6mph (2nd-best) and peak distance of 371ft. Behind the plate, Hazen’s pop-times ranged between 1.90-1.97 with 71mph throws. A catcher for colleges to know in the 2026 class going forward.

‘25/26 RHP/OF Jackson Feggi (Team Ontario Astros/Uncommitted): Feggi is an intriguing two-way that looked the part on both sides of the ball.  Particularly on the mound where he showed feel for all pitches.  The athletic, high-waisted 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame attacks from a 3/4 slot and moves downhill with efficiency.  The fastball ranges from 84.8-85.8 mph (T85.9) with run to it.  The breaking stuff has good bite that shows 11/5 shape.  A quality mover with ability to handle the bat as well.  Jackson is a name to keep tabs on as we approach season play in the coming months.

‘27 INF Brett Rienguette (Sudbury Voyageurs/Uncommitted): Rienguette’s game has really skyrocketed since we last saw him in the fall of 2023 and there’s still plenty more to come from the 5-foot-9, 176-pound infielder. It’s the left-handed swing that quickly grabbed our attention with bat speed and violence, generating a peak exit velocity of 95.3mph and distance of 340ft. The actions play on the infield and there’s confidence in the glove with 78mph throws across the diamond. Another 2027 prospect to follow in Sudbury.

‘26 OF Max Arnold (Sudbury Voyageurs/Uncommitted): Arnold had one of the better showings on the day.  Started the event off by showcasing the hit tool.  There’s some twitch there with good whip to contact that resulted in a 97.1 mph exit velocity, sweet spot % of 72, and a max distance of 364 feet.  The defensive side looks to be just as loud by clocking in at 91 mph from the outfield.  Impactful tools that can help a ball club at the next level.

‘27 RHP/OF Jonathan Dada (Ontario Royals/Uncommitted): Jonathan Dada was one of the most intriguing underclassmen at the event and stood out with a big, physical frame at 6-foot-2, 170-pounds that generated some loud numbers in all areas of the game. On the mound, The Ontario Royals right-hander sat 84-85 T86 from a shorter arm-slot and paired it with a developing breaking ball at 68-73mph that he was able to land for strikes. Still raw on the mound with plenty of potential at the position and the arm strength translated to the outfield portion where he was up to 88mph. At the plate, the ball travels when the right-handed hitter finds the barrel as he generated a peak exit velocity of 94.3mph and peak distance of 324ft. Highly intriguing talent in the 2027 class out of the Royals program and should garner some attention this summer at high-profile events in Ontario and beyond.
