Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons at the State Tournament, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Oregon. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and eventually releasing our preseason Top 25 teams in the state.

Team Outlook:
The Crimson Tide finished 2022 with an 11-16 record and had a tough draw in the playoffs against eventual state champion West Linn in the opening round. 2023 brings plenty of reasons for optimism though as the team brings back 7 starting position players and plenty of experience on the mound. Senior Blake Sehorn (Lane CC) will continue to play all over the field while brings consistent offensive production with power to the line-up. Sehorn is an ultra versatile defender with solid overall feel for the game at multiple spots and has always been a mature hitter at the plate. Junior Jake Jones will have a key role as the starting SS while also being expected to pitch a significant amount as well. Sr Camren Stortro and Jr James Kingsbury will also be relied on for innings this season. Stortro relies on effectively using his off speed pitches in big spots while Kingsbury is able to give a different look to hitters as one of the few southpaws. On the defensive side, Diego Richards should continue to play a stout hot corner with his glove. Glencoe is strong up the middle with Probst as a dependable backstop and Cayden Mack tracking things down in the OF. Sr Andy Young battled some injuries last year but if he remains healthy he could be a crucial part to the offense. Overall Glencoe looks to be a little more offensive as a group this season and if the pitching continues to make progress they should see some big improvements in the win column.
